We used to stay in The Market Courtyard Suites before the covid time quite often. We came back now, a couple of years later, and were disappointed by the overall condition of the hotel which has unfortunately deteriorated. The room was not cleaned properly, the sink had a bad smell and the sofa was dirty. The staff was nice but the management does not keep the place as needed.

Great location and price. Inside courtyard was cute. Room was huge but empty. Felt like I was squatting in someone's apartment after they moved out. 2 mini fridges, neither worked. Felt dirty although it could've been just old. Room was not prepared for us - floor was wet from 1 fridge defrosting. Sofa bed had no sheets. Place was a dump

was very cold the air condition didn’t work it was no blankets. I used my coat to try sleeping I freeze all the night and wait until the morning. I had to wait for the water to heat up because they didn't turn on the boiler. I arrived in the evening after a day of work from Haifa to Jerusalem and at the end the room was smelly and cold cold cold. I am so disappointed I will never recommend anyone to go there and certainly not me.

The location can't be beat. It is right across the street from Mahane Yehuda Market. Our apartment faced the street, so it could be noisy, especially at night, but I actually enjoyed seeing and hearing the nightlife. I absolutely loved the location. Cleanliness was so-so. The apartment itself was clean, however the furniture, especially the couch, was not. It was pretty dirty and stained- felt more like a college dorm as far as furniture goes. I also thought the bedding was not very clean. I don't think the blankets or pillows had been washed in awhile, and the sheets were old and worn with pilling. I'm not picky at all with places as long as they are clean, and I had a hard time relaxing on the couch, or the bed. The kitchen was pretty basic, and didn't have all of the utensils or dishes we needed for 3 people, but we managed. The courtyard was nice, and unique. The neighborhood around it was fun to walk around in, and it was close to public transportation. The hosts at the front desk were great- they were very helpful and accommodating, as well as the housekeeping staff. Again, the location is great- especially if you want to be right in the middle of the action at the market and the neighborhood. I would stay here again.

The location is excellent and so is the hospitality from the person that greeted us. The property is nice on the outside and courtyard but the rooms are not what is shown in the pictures. It is worn down and kinda dirty. The bathtub was absolutely disgusting. We were disappointed since we were at least expecting a clean room and similar to the pictures online.

Comfortable and central

This place is so well located, right in the action across the street from Mechane Yehudah. I requested a quiet room so had to carry our suitcases up 3 flights of stairs but it was worth it! And I liked the authenticity of the old building in Jerusalem stone and our cute balcony overlooking the residential lanes at the back. Totally cute! Suite was dated but comfortable and staff super friendly and helpful. Loved our stay!
