You will feel you are entering another world as you enter the first gate of the almost 10 acres resort of The Peninsula. You will drive through 2+ acres of woods. Before entering 3 acres of meadows. Seeing the water on the eastern side the almost the whole way. Before entering another area of trees for several acres. Arriving at the secondary gate and entering the private peninsula. The land opening up to see the cottage and a beautiful panoramic view. Inside the secondary fence you will have approximately 2 acres of secluded peninsula with no direct neighbors. Surrounded by water on all sides except the direction you drove in on.
Once at The Peninsula you may find yourself resisting going any where off of the The Peninsula. Not only do you have the several secluded acres on The Peninsula but it is buffered by more than 6 acres to go back to the outside world. On The Peninsula you will have a 1168 sq ft cottage with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The Master Bedroom and Panoramic Bedroom both contain 1 queen bed each. The third bedroom has both a queen bed and a set of twin Bunkbeds. Offering you the ability to sleep 8 people privately. It is possible to sleep a couple more people on the couch. The Livingroom and Kitchen are combined to make a great room. Outside The Peninsula offers a private covered pier. The fishing around the point and the pier are excellent without even using a boat. The Peninsula also has a separate A/C laundry room.
The location is very convenient centrally located within 2-1/2 hours from Houston, Dallas, and Austin. The Peninsula is located between two quiet coves. The Lake is recognized as a top fishing lake in Texas for several species. It holds many fishing tournaments every year. You will spend most of you time outside rather it is under the large covered patio or on the covered pier fishing. The fishing from The Peninsula is great for Black Bass, White Bass, Sand Bass, HI Fin Blue Cat, Flat Head Cat, Channel Cat, Crappie, and Brim. You will also catch many other species as well. Of course, you will enjoy gathering around the private firepit in the evenings. With almost 10 acres there is plenty of land to explore. It is a natural environment so expect to see animals. That includes deer, squirrels, hogs, racoons, armadillos, etc. You are never far from the water. We normally swim just south of the private boat ramp by the short bulkhead. Between the boat ramp and the covered pier.
Definitely bring your boat or water craft and enjoy the lake. There is a public boat ramp less than 1 mile away at the marina. The Peninsula does have a paddle boat for use by the tenants. Life vests must be worn on the water.
Be prepared to find it hard to leave and return back to the busy world when your stay ends. And we will be looking forward to welcoming you back the next time you get free time and want to get away from the stress of life.
