Forge is a large country house set in impressive grounds of over 100 acres of landscaped park, woodlands, and lakes. The house includes a large beamed banqueting hall with a table that seats 20-24 people, a music room, a games room with a pool table, heated indoor swimming pool, a sauna, a large library with wood burning stove, a sitting room with large open fire, 2 kitchens, 2 smaller dining rooms, 11 bedrooms (6 of which are ensuite) and 8 bathrooms. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor and has 2 king size beds and another pull out double sofa bed. This luxurious house has 950 square meters of space to enjoy.

Outside there is a large terrace situated just past the library doors that overlooks the ponds and woodlands. There is also a shaded terraces perfect for eating outdoors. The indoor pool has a hot tub just outside of it which has views looking out to the Greek temple and the roman temple. This is a perfect place to gaze at the stars in the evening.

The grounds have many unique spaces to sit and enjoy the wildlife, there is a Zen garden complete with small Asian temple, an Octagonal outdoor room, the Greek temple and the Roman temple plus a truly unusual bunker under a mound topped with a table and chair to enjoy the view. There is an orchard and a few enclosed formal gardens plus a variety of sculptures around the grounds.

There is wildlife everywhere, you will find a variety of birds, deer, hares, pine martins, fish, red squirrels, bats, frogs, lizards and many different insects. 

The house has everything you need for a relaxing holiday including dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer. There will also be a stack of wood ready for you to build a comforting fire if the weather is a little chilly.

We live on site with two cats and two dogs. We also have ducks and chickens. We are available to deal with any questions that you might have about such a large house and to ensure you have a fabulous holiday, but we are very happy to stay out of the way and let you enjoy the space.
