Beautiful Unit

The interior is nicely decorated. The remodeled bathrooms are exceptional albeit the shower floors are slippery when wet so use the shower mat. Both king size beds are hard, not firm but hard. This unit stands out because there is not anyone on three sides of the unit so quiet, also being on the first floor there is no need to wait on an elevator. The unit could have been cleaner which is not typical for the Alii. There were a couple of large yellow stains on the rug in one bedroom and the furniture needed to be wiped down, sticky stuff on tops and sides. Great location with plenty of special and good restaurants within a quick drive or a quick walk. Resort employees are typically long term and have been there for years and with one small exception, are the best. We have stayed several times at the Alii and see familiar faces who are friendly, helpful and want to please. We asked for a two hour extend on the check out, noon as opposed to 10 am and there was miscommunication around the understanding which caused a moment of drama but quickly resolved. Best of everything on Kaanapali beach, good balance of quiet and available things to do, convenience and quality. We have stayed at the property ten times in the last two decades because it is fun with or without kids.
