Both the main house (5 bedrooms) and the cottage (1 bedroom) have been extensively renovated by professional designers bringing new comforts to even the most discriminating travelers. Open living rooms invite natural light into the house, illuminating the rich wood furnishings and sleek granite countertops. The large, open kitchen and dining area are a chef's delight - with large bar counters and a variety of dining areas - indoors and out. This place was amazing. I stayed here for my 40th birthday week with 5 of my close friends. It had everything you can think of. To go from the grassy yard directly to the ocean was like a dream. With such quick access to the local shops, the house stayed stocked with what we needed. Check in was so easy and the host was extremely kind. We had breakfast every morning on the upper deck overlooking the ocean, a view straight out of a postcard. The beds were cozy and they had ample towels, both bath and beach. We had so much fun just relaxing on the lawn chairs soaking up the sun. I will never forget our stay here. Thanks for making this one of the best trips ever. Mahalo

The King of Island Visits

Hale Oahu has everything that our 2 families needed to enjoy being in paradise, and it felt like we were living in an Elvis movie. The kitchen was well stocked with basic spices, dishes and cooking needs. We were greeted with a beautiful basket of goodies. The garage was filled with an amazing amount of items for the beach. Maybe the only downside was the public access to the beach, next to the property would get a little noisy, and not enough hot water for 11 people to shower, even if we tried to spread out the showers. Overall, we loved the place and I highly recommend this beautiful home for a large group.

A few hiccups, but still amazing

Check in proved a little difficult as the code for the auto gate was correct but the door was not. So had to wait a few minutes to check-in. My mom took a shower when we got there, but everyone else waited till the evening as we went into the water. None of us had any hot water other than my mom, and continued not to have hot water for about 24 hours, when Chris came and confirmed that the water heater was in disable mode. A heavy wooden oar on the wall also fell, luckily no one was around when it happened, especially the toddler that was with us. Even with those issues, it was a very lovely home and a great location. Would not hesitate to say again if given the opportunity, but hopefully things go a little smoother if there is a next time.

Hidden Gem

I am somewhat hesitant to write this review for fear others will find this amazing space. My husband, kids and extended family traveled to Oahu for a recent wedding. This house was above and beyond what we were expecting. Brad, our property manager was AMAZING!!! I hope owners and management continue to keep this house at a price point that allows large families to share in this wonderful experience. Bravo hale aloha, we hope to return soon!

Excellent Stay for 4 Couples!

Excellent location. Beautiful and clean home that is fully stocked. Quiet neighborhood. Incredible beach. Kailua is small and quaint with a Target and WholeFoods within a 5 minute drive. However, check-in was a mess...the codes needed to open the gates and doors did not work. We called AvantStay and they answered immediately but they had the same codes we did. The only way we got into the house that afternoon was by using the public beach access to enter the yard from the beach. Luckily, the cleaning staff accidentally left a sliding door unlocked and we entered the house through there. AvantStay had someone out the next morning to get the door codes straightened out and come to find out from the gardener that the gate that allows vehicle entry has never worked and we had to operate it manually for the remainder of the stay - a minor inconvenience. Overall, I would love to stay here again and would highly recommend the home for couples or families. We had a fabulous stay with plenty of room and privacy for 4 couples. We made some incredible memories and strengthened the bonds of our friendship!

Being in this beach house made you feel like you were on vacation in an island paradise - not the concrete jungle of Waikiki. Kailua is a quaint town with good restaurants. We appreciated the beach equipment provided. However, property needs a deep clean, some furniture is worn out and gate and some appliances did not function well.

This home provided an exceptional stay. The spacious garden was perfect for our family—children could run and play while we relaxed, read, and enjoyed barbecues in the evening. The house was spotless, well-maintained, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed, from condiments and cleaning supplies to beach chairs and umbrellas. Any minor issues were quickly addressed, which made us feel at ease. It was a peaceful, comfortable, and family-friendly place, and we would gladly return. Highly recommended!
