Need to ask to be non smoking

Nice resort - felt clean and comfortable. Some units are being updated and ours felt a little dated. Main issue that impacted our enjoyment was that our condo & balcony overlooked one of the designated smoking area benches. This limited our use of our balcony as we are non-smokers and didn’t want to passive smoke during breakfast - and our daughter is asthmatic. Was told by receptionist that we should have asked to be non smoking - but nothing about this was mentioned at check in. Otherwise enjoyed our stay. Multiple small swimming pools - the one we used was nice, but jets didn’t reliably work in hot tub and the water felt very hot indeed. Good location - especially if planning any boat tours which leave from just a little further down the road.

We loved our stay at Holua resort. Although when we arrived the only thing we could say about the property in a negative way was the floors weren’t super clean. That’s not really a huge deal but for some people it could be. Now let’s talk about the positives. The staff was amazing. They were quick to respond when we needed new towels and stuff for the dish washer and washing machine. The grounds were fun to walk around and see the different types of trees and plants. It was nice to have the signs that pointed out what type of foliage they were. It was nice to be able to open up the blinds and be able to look out so many windows. One thing we didn’t realize was that the kitchen was up on the second floor, along with a half bathroom upstairs for those sleeping on the pullout couch. That was a bonus that we didn’t realize the unit had available. If we were pickle ballers, this would have been the place to play because there was always somebody playing. Being so close to a golf course and the harbor that does tours to see the manta rays is also an added bonus. We would def stay here again and hope to soon in the future.

The condo/suit we had was very spacious. Plenty of room for the 6 in our group. The lanai was amazing! Lots of pickle ball courts if you wanted to play. I would recommend staying here.

We enjoyed the spaciousness inside the condo, amenities inside the condo was great, our view from the balcony was beautiful!! Staff at check in and check out were very kind! Assistance with all our things upon arrival was great! Downfall was there is no food options on site, our pool and jacuzzi were inaccessible for repairs, roaches outside our unit, rude man (owner) at pickelball courts.

We really appreciate everything they had to offer. Very convenient location, beautiful gardens, great views, accommodations were clean, fully stocked and very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. The 2 bedroom condo was perfect for a week’s stay. The condos are a bit dated but are in good shape. The grounds are manicured beautifully. The only real drawback is that it is a fairly long walk from some of the buildings to the parking lot.

Feedback on Our Recent Stay I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback regarding our stay at your property. While we had high hopes for our visit, a few aspects of the experience left us feeling disappointed: Room Readiness: We arrived around 2:00 PM, and although we were early, we understood that our room may not be ready. We were informed by the front desk associate that we'd need to wait, which was completely acceptable. However, upon returning around 3:30 PM, we were disheartened to find that our room was still not ready. We waited for an additional 15-20 minutes while we saw other guests checking in. While I understand delays happen, it seemed like a bit more effort could have been made to have our room ready, given the extra time. Towel Request: During check-in, I requested extra towels since we were traveling with children and would be using the pool. I was told that the resort has a policy of only exchanging towels and that we would need to call room service for any additional towels. In my experience, this policy seems unusual, as most hotels provide extra towels upon request. While I understand policies are in place, this felt like an unnecessary limitation, especially when we were simply trying to make our stay more comfortable. This added to the frustration. Customer Service Interaction: Throughout this encounter, I felt as though I was being spoken to in a condescending manner, as if my concerns were not valid. This was particularly concerning.

We just had a family vacation for five and stayed at this resort for five nights. I would very much recommend it. It had plenty of space, kitchen was well furnished, beds were comfortable. Any questions or items we requested were provided quickly. Great customer service as well. Washer and dryer worked good, we washed lots of clothes!

Parking is away from condo. Need to walk from parking to condo. They do have a shuttle running some of the time. Grounds were beautiful and well kept. Condo was huge, lots of room.
