Good hotel. Clean, comfortable, easy (but pricy) parking, walking distance to restaurants, bars and a small mall, solid service (bartenders are fantastic). Front desk staff is hit or miss - some were great, a few were unfriendly bordering on surly.

Friendly and Helpful Staff

The staff here was very friendly and helpful. I had a problem with the AC in my room and they switched me to a functional room. They also handled crowded check-ins efficiently. I spent time in the bar and the staff was great there too. Lobby was a nice place to chill and wait for family members, and the guitars decorating the lobby as well as featured in the artwork in the rooms honors local heritage. Walking distance to many downtown Kalamazoo highlights. Bed was comfortable. Bedding and pillows could be better, but par for the course at this price point. Pool is small.
