Great place - enhanced our stay in Kanazawa loads!
Valentine was a great host! She was very nice and helpful, giving us loads of ideas and tips on exploring Kanazawa. She gave us a map and marked all the important places and offered to called Ninjadera (Ninja Temple) to book a tour there (it was outside of hours, so she couldn't book, but we went there next morning and managed to get a tour on the same day). We also got from her a recommendation to go to a Hakuza shop. We've found a different shop of this gold leaf producer and we had a really great time there, watching the production process, seeing the products and admiring gold leaf tea room. Valentine also booked a taxi back to the train station - thank you again! The house itself is a beautiful Japanese-style dwelling with a pretty small garden - it was ideal for our party of 4. We enjoyed very much Kanazawa tea that was available in the house and spent our evenings hanging around in the shared living room-kitchen space. Nicely decorated bedrooms were located on the second floor. The steep stairs to the second floor were a bit challenging but we manged fine with getting ourselves around. Very much recommended for good location to attractions, quiet surroundings and great Japanese-style house experience!
