Although Kangar doesn't boast a massive selection of hotels and apartments close to the town centre, the Putra Regency Hotel is convenient enough to satisfy most visitors.

It is an old property and looks its age but is reasonably well maintained. Staff are helpful. We had a ground floor room but right at the end of the corridor. Water pressure and hot water was not great. If you have your own transport then location is not a problem otherwise be prepared to walk ~1 km or so together to some shops. There are some food stalls nearby but are open in the evening.
