My family stayed at this hotel, because we were attending a wedding in the area. Normally, we would have stayed with our friends' family, however, knowing how busy families can be at this time, we thought it better to stay in a hotel and have our own bathroom to get ready, etc. I did see all of the really bad reviews for this place and wasn't sure, but it was pretty much what I expected. If you are wanting a 5-star hotel experience, you will be disappointed. It says on the website it is a 2-star hotel. I was looking for a clean, inexpensive place to stay. I did call ahead about the pool as I saw many people saying it didn't work. When I called, they were honest and said "the pool is toast". I appreciated the honesty. Turns out we ended up with a lot of down time and it would have been nice to be able to swim in the pool, but I wasn't specifically looking for that. The breakfast was "continental" and for what it was, it wasn't bad. They had the Belgian waffles and the batter was mixed correctly (I'm a cook, I know), so they were pretty good, there was yogurt, hard boiled eggs, cereal, and muffins. The coffee was decent (and I am picky about my coffee), they needed to have more creamer, available. So, I would actually give this place 3.5 stars. It was clean with fridge nice size fridge and mini microwave. The biggest reason I am not giving a 4 is that they are still advertising for the pool on the website and they need to say it is closed for repairs.

The pool was closed, breakfast was not there, took 45mins to check in, no hot water to take showers, broken bed frames, very uncomfortable beds, and very disappointing. I asked for a different room got told no i asked if i could get a refund or at least a discount and got told not was not worth the money to stay

We love Hotels.com, but not this specific hotel!

The pool was closed. It was closed last year too when we came. Starting to think it's never really open. The room was filthy. Bathroom was not cleaned. The pipes screamed the whole time we took showers. A plastic bag hanging from the sprinkler on the ceiling. The carpets needed vacuumed and there was no hairdryer in the room as stated in the amenities list.

Don’t do it.

Old units with really old beds. Room had paint issues and no electrical outlets you could find. Breakfast was weak and not kept up, they filled it early and never came back to refill or clean. Cheap but very poor place.

The stay was okay. Not the worst, but not great either. Stayed from a Friday through a Sunday. Pros: - close to Lee’s summit downtown, and Independence/KC - easy parking - clean lobby Cons: - uncomfortable bed (lumpy and sank in the center a few inches) - only a sheet and gauzy cover on bed - had to special request a thin fleece cover. - the room below us had a smoke alarm sounding from 10:30pm-11:45pm the second night - guest courtesy was non-existent here (not the fault of the hotel, fault lies the clientele… from racing up and down the hall, yelling in the halls, slamming doors, and door-checking, it was not great at all. - the breakfast could use some work; subpar at best.

My family and I stayed at this hotel last weekend. The rooms did not smell good at all. The drawers were not closing and when we showered there was a loud noise. We told the front desk (Tage) and he just said, sorry we will spray something for it to smell good. Tage did not consider switching us rooms until the cleaning ladies offered if we wanted another room. Overall, we did not enjoy our stay. We have stayed at other Quality Inn hotels in other states and our experience has never been terrible like this time.

This is the worst hotel I’ve been to in my life. The rooms are not up to date and not in at all shape for anyone to be in. The whole building is in the worst shape ever. The elevator looked as if it had been out of order for years. The floors are so badly warped they were so weak to walk on. No one should ever stay in this hotel and it should be shut down until all of the building is up to code and in great standing for people to inhabit. The prices are not even close to what is reasonable for those type of hotel rooms. It’s not worth $50 a night. Such a disgrace to the brand and franchise.

Terrible experience. Room was dirty, sheets had stains. Morning employees were rude and unhelpful, night employee barely spoke English. TV had very little channels available and would not go into HDMI mode. I know hotels put TVs into hotel mode, but this is the first time I've been unable to use an HDMI to watch my own shows on my own HDMI device. Indoor pool was closed, elevators didn't work so we had to carry heavy luggage up 3 flights of stairs. Thought we found a great deal but pay for what you get I guess. Would highly highly suggest staying away from this hotel.

No way stay

This place was horrible. I would never stay there. Shower curtain was covered in mold. The power outlets didn’t have faceplates on them and fell out of the wall when your charging cord is removed. The tv didn’t work and there was missing paint on the walls. The pillow had a red stain on it and another had mold on the back when flipped over. When asked for help or to change to a nicer room, we were told we could leave and be refunded because all of the rooms are similar.
