If you'd like to stay in Kapaau, book your room as early as you can, as there's not many hotel options in close proximity to the downtown area.

While Kapaau is not exactly bursting with accommodation options, the Hawaii Island Retreat is close enough to the city centre to keep most travellers happy.

You'd be crazy to come to Kapaau without seeing the Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park. Hotels nearby are the Hale Hoola B&B and Dragonfly Ranch.

The Castle Waimea Country Lodge is 25 kilometres from the heart of Kapaau. Alternatively, the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, Autograph Collection can be found 25 kilometres away. Some other accommodation options are the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel and the Wai'ula'ula at Mauna Kea.

Don't blow through before you have checked out the Waikola Village Golf Club, Waikoloa Kings Golf Course and Genesis Gallery in Waikoloa.
