balcony which is shared by both bedrooms. The villa is set in extensive
walled gardens with plenty of shaded dining space and a good sized area
for children to play in. From the large balcony you can drink in the
magnificent sea views.

Location/comfort/value
Villa Katerina is a spacious, comfortable, scrupulously clean property, which has excellent facilities (including a large pool) and abundant resources throughout. Beds and furniture were very comfortable and all the domestic appliances (bar the small vacuum cleaner) worked very well. The location of the property (in Trapezaki/Afrato) was just what we wanted: easy to get to and close to some quiet, first-rate beaches; it is within walking distance of several terrific restaurants and a very well stocked and friendly neighbourhood mini-market. This was my first visit to Greece and I would not hesitate to recommend this villa for a family holiday – but the icing on the cake is the friendliness and helpfulness of the local population: a great place in a great location. And remember, just a few words of Greek go a long way!
P.S. – We left Kefalonia one day before the out of the ordinary storm hit; we sincerely hope that all the locals and visitors have come through unscathed and that damage to property has been minimal for them.
