CLEANING

We charge a fraction of what our cleaning fee actually is, for a reason. We believe our guests are inherently clean people who will not leave things in a mess. We simply request a few simple steps prior to checking out, such as taking out the trash, loading dirty dishes and running dishwasher, and stripping the bed linens and placing them in the Laundry room on the floor. That's it, and you get to save hundreds of dollars in return!

Private parking in driveway can fit 3-4 vehicles, lots of street parking right in front of home as well

Walking Distance: To a neighbouring plaza which has Liquor/Cannabis store, Pharmacy, drop in medical clinic and many food options

- NO PARTIES - Zero tolerance for parties, registered guests can have a great time, but any sign of a party with non-guests or visitors on premise and you will be evicted without refund or notice, no exceptions!
- NO SMOKING anywhere inside the house, the upstairs balcony & patio, the pool, pool deck, or hot tub. Smoking is only allowed in Back Yard.
- VISITOR PRE-APPROVAL - Any visitors other than on the booking will require pre-approval prior to arrival. We have cameras on the exterior of the property and monitor who comes and goes.


PROPERTY MAINTENANCE

From time to time during your stay there may arrive crews to mow and perform general upkeep.

We also have regular pool & hot tub maintenance to check the chemistry of the water and make adjustments as necessary. You may need to vacate the pool for no more than 30mins to allow the water chemicals to work.

SECURITY NOTICE

For the safety of our guests and our property, the exterior of the house has security cameras, including Driveway, Front, Sides, and sections of the backyard

The property is easily accessible, only a short drive to grocery stores, restaurants and other points of interest. It is spacious and has many amenities that are great for our group. We had an enjoyable stay and will book again in the future.

Great home in a lovely neighborhood! Many bedrooms for what we needed. Super clean, lovely yard with pool, well appointed. The host is very responsive. We would highly recommend this property for couples, extended family vacations in Kelowna!

Unfortunately, “The Grand Oasis” did not live up to its name or our expectations, as advertised in the listing. A group of us had rented this property in anticipation to use the seemingly wonderful pool and backyard amenities. However upon arrival, it was apparent that the pool hadn’t seen maintenance or a proper opening in quite some time. When contacting the host he acknowledged that the pool was seeing maintenance and that he insured it would be available for use the following day. This never happened, the pool remained in its current state the entire stay, and was extremely filthy (picture for reference). Additionally, the overall cleanliness was not up to par. Our check in was delayed due to cleaners completion of the house, although it didn’t appear that anything was actually cleaned. Multiple pairs of used underwear from previous tenants were found and in general the place was not clean. We had contacted the host to advise of these items, which he acknowledged were unacceptable and would consider a discount on the property. Surely a good enough compromise for us; if he would have actually followed through with that discount or further communication. Radio silence since then, which is unfortunate. The place has potential & is spacious, but I would not rely on the owner’s testimony and/or the listing’s description. Writing this review to bring some accountability to the host, in the hopes that future guests will receive a stay as advertised.

Property Did Not Meet Expectations

We were told no early check-in because cleaners still had to clean the property (at no point did we request for early check-in). When we arrived it seems like the floors, rugs, and bath mats were never vacuumed or cleaned, tiles around the toilets had splatter all around like it was not mopped and dust on all night stands. These were minor things as we could avoid the rugs and wipe things down (however should there be cleaning fees if we are doing this ourselves?). The pool was green, BBQ was filthy, and no workout equipment. I immediately contacted the host as it states in the check-in instructions. He says a professional pool cleaner looks after it weekly and it’s safe for us to use. We were uncomfortable with the algae in the pool and decided we would not use it. On the third day of the stay, he decides to come check out the pool and informs me the filtration system is not working and not to use it. This was disappointing because we rented this property for the pool. He said he would “take care of us” and we have yet to receive any partial refund and he has stopped responding to my messages.Pro: Enough space for big groups, host was quick to respond and brought a new kettle.

Place was less than ok. Communication with owner was fine until we had asked for money back then went dark. Pool was unusable, see photo. Basement leaked in two of the rooms we had guests in with half inch standing water. I would look elsewhere

Great stay!

Stuart was a great host! I was having some technical difficulties with my account initially and Stuart was very responsive and helpful. He checked in throughout our stay. The backyard is awesome and even bigger than the photos show. We had everything we could've needed available to us during our stay!

The house has everything you need! Hot tub, pool, outdoor bbq, ping pong, and much more! Great house to enjoy with friends for a few days! Close and convenient location to everything in Kelowna! Check in process was super easy, would definitely re-visit this property.

Awesome getaway!
