The idyllic village of Keswick, 6.5 miles away, is famous for its historic theatre and cinema, and provides a playground of activities for outdoor explorers, boasting some stunning walks in the fells. The Georgian market town of Cockermouth, 9 miles away, boasts a fantastic selection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants.
