We returned from our stay at Parrot Key. We stayed off season so the facility wasn’t overly crowded. We had the opportunity to have one of the four pools to ourselves. The staff was friendly. A shoutout to Claudia, the shuttle driver, for being a wealth of knowledge. A few notes that need mentioned, the shampoos and lotions were so nice. There is a station to fill up water bottles, which is a good thing for the Keys heat. The Açaí bowl the restaurant was really delicious! It was a tasty start to the morning. Yes, we will stay again if we go to the Keys.

Overall, a bit disappointing. The property itself is pleasant, though the location is less than ideal—right next to a Home Depot and Walgreens. The rooms are spacious, but the service left much to be desired. Despite the resort not being very crowded, our request for a room with a better view was overlooked, and we were given one with no view, next to an EV charging station. On the second day, our toilet broke and needed repair. Housekeeping also fell short, as coffee mugs were left unwashed and water bottles not replenished. Breakfast was just average. In the end, while the property has potential charm, it was outweighed by the subpar service.

Absolutely filthy and misleading. We booked a 3-bedroom villa to accommodate 8 people, including elders and kids, and the room was crawling with cockroaches. We checked in and checked right back out. The manager refused to refund us and instead suggested spraying the room or moving us — completely unacceptable, especially for $500 per night plus $107 in extra fees and $75 for parking two cars. I went back and forth with both the hotel manager and Expedia just to get my money back. At first, they insultingly offered only $50 and 75 Expedia points. Expedia finally refunded me, but I’m STILL waiting for the hotel to return the extra charges they tacked on. This property is filthy, unsafe, and completely mismanaged. What makes it worse is Expedia ranks it as “Wonderful,” which is completely misleading. It needs to be shut down. Avoid at all costs.

We were pleasantly surprised to find that we had two large balconies overlooking the pool and one overlooking the lagoon. The four pools were a nice touch as well.

My husband and I booked a room for three nights for a birthday weekend. What an experience it all began the moment we walked into the room. Not one, not two, but three little roaches in the bathroom. I grabbed a tissue killed them and flushed them down the toilet. My husband said the first night while sleeping he felt something crawling on him. How disturbing and disgusting is that. We are not the kind of people to stir up trouble, so we went across the street to the CVS and purchased bug spray. I sprayed the base boards, around the bed, lamp tables, head board, bathroom and closet. In hopes that would take care of them for the rest of our stay. I didn’t think about spraying the coffee maker and dresser. Ugh 😩 so gross. What's worse is we mentioned the roaches in our room to the front desk person as we’re checking out and his response to my husband was its common and happens this time of year like it’s acceptable. I would have left this alone, but his response blew my mind. This is not acceptable and someone needs to have a word with him. If I had known this I would've taken pictures and ask for a refund. We are good people and it’s not like us to leave bad reviews. We are the kind of people who live by if you have nothing nice to say than say nothing at all, but this is just unacceptable.
