Elevation and ER visit cancelled our trip

Out stay was from June 13-June 16. We checked in a little after 430pm. We ended in the ER because my 7 year old couldn’t breathe. He needed oxygen and ended up checking out at 11pm same nights (and that’s because we got discharged a little before that). I tried to get a refund for the unused nights and hotels couldn’t do anything because they denied refund. They gave me a credit but it didn’t even include the taxes I paid. So not even a full credit for the nights I didn’t use. The place is beautiful and I’m sure the stay would have been great if my kid could breathe up there. We are from California so pay attention to your little ones and older folks when going up there. Beautiful but it’s not for everyone.
