The pool facilities and poolside bar were excellent.as was the hotel's location directly across from beaches, and easy access to the whole S.E Maui coast . There are lots of dining and shopping options within waking distance, but a car let's you explore the coast. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Try to get at least a partial ocen view.

For the cost, distance from the airport, close by beach, and being in the heart of the island…it’s a great place to stay. The staff is very friendly. The amenities are good too. There are more luxurious places to stay west of Lahaina…but at almost double the cost. I’d stay there again. The live music at night was awesome. The free bikes, beach towels, and gym…excellent! It was a great place overall.

The resort was perfect for our first family trip to Maui and Hawaii in general. The resort location is also ideal with the beach within walking distance and also several food options within couple of min of drive on either side. Breakfast/Brunch in the Cafe was great. Not sure if it’s open for dinner though. The front desk staff were very helpful and addressed all our requests. Housekeeping staff also ensured the rooms are clean and they accommodated our timing changes. Ocean view queen room on the 5th floor was ideal for both the pool view as well as the ocean.

The ultimate reason for returning would be the overall experience. The staff was very friendly upon arrival. There was easy access to exclusive pool facilities and the bar, and the coffee at the cafe adjacent on the premises was excellent. The fitness center was easy to get to and, while the space provided most weight-lifting, yoga, and other exercising spaces, the rooms was pretty cozy. It was fairly easy to see where improvements could be made, but this was limited to the hallway and other spaces you could more or less disregard. We enjoyed our room, and with our short stay, we weren't concerned too much by those minor fallbacks (a safe that needed a battery replacement that fell to the wayside when we asked for it to be serviced). The location was perfect, and a short walk to morning acai bowls or eclectic dinners made the Maui Coast Hotel worth returning to.

The property in general was quite nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing we didn’t like was there was no onsite restaurant for dinner or a full regular bar. There is a nice restaurant for breakfast and lunch but only open till 6 (sometimes only till 2). There is a pool bar but what you’d expect for a pool bar, not for a nice dinner and a cocktail. There is a restaurant under construction but sounds like it won’t be ready for a while. It’s about 10-15 minute walk to restaurants in the more central area.

The property is in a good location with the beach right across the street and shops within walking distance. Overall just an average property in a good location. Service was ok, however keep in mind they charge a resort fee at check out.
