We have stayed at the Sugar Beach Resort before, and we have been to Maui and Kauai multiple times. The SBR is a very solid choice in a very good, central location. Everyone who works there works hard and they are friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this property, especially for a stay of 7 days or longer because you are so central you are able to visit the whole island and the attractions with relative ease, which can’t be said for some of the other resorts in the NW of the island.

We enjoyed beach view from our room and balcony. It was an amazing experience to sit down and watch the ocean early in the morning. Resort location is in the center and everything close by. Room was clean when we arrived and had all basic kitchen stuff that we needed. Definitely we will stay at this resort again. Property is old but they keep clean. Bed is very comfortable.

The room and grounds were very clean. The view from the balcony was wonderful, and parking was a breeze. The kitchen was loaded with every imaginable implement, which was very nice. Our chief complaint was the crushed tiles on the hall and kitchen floors. In addition, the shower really needed an upgrade. Plus, oddly the dryer vent was inside of the shower stall. Little bits of lint would come out of the vent into the actual shower. The unit definitely needs some repair and upgrades.
