Michael met us at the property for an orientation. He covered everything about the condo from kitchen & laundry facilities to TVs and WiFi and how to open up the window wall. There were 2 huge baskets of fresh fruit & crunchy munchies. He could not have been nicer to us.

Amazing Property

We had such a fun and carefree stay at The Penthouse Maui! Michael was the perfect host, offering such kind hospitality throughout our reservation process and our arrival and departure times. The condo was beautiful, fully equipped with EVERYTHING you might need while on vacation. Bedding and mattresses were super comfortable in every room, kitchen was fully stocked, there were tons of things to use at the beach, and the ability to open up space to the lenai was just perfect. The views from the condo are truly stunning! We spent so much time just enjoying the outdoor space. You don't want to miss the fresh catch from the South Maui Fish Company food truck, which is only a mile away! It's so good!!! Mahalo!

Treasured memories

I booked this property for four couples so we could each have our own bathroom and a fantastic view. The accommodations exceeded expectations. Well designed and decorated home at a stellar location. The lanai and wrap around deck was where we chose to hang out. Loved being right on the beach and also having the ability to walk to multiple stores and restaurants. The home is equipped with everything you need for the beach. Side note: it isn’t easy to get kayak in and out of the storage bay, so need to be fairly strong. While the pool is not fancy, it is warm. The grassy area is a lovely place to hang out as well. The kitchen is well stocked and we had the most delightful welcome baskets. We hired the recommended private chef and it was the best meal, service of the trip. Michael is an amazing host! We felt very welcomed and cared for.

Fantastic vacation spot

9 family members from age 2 to 69 stayed for a week. The location was walking distance to almost everything we wished for. The beach is steps away and has great swimming and snorkeling. The kitchen is well stocked with cook wear, there are lots of beach toys and towels. The property manager made a special effort to bring a clothes steamer even though there was an iron available.

Family getaway

This property was amazing! We loved all the space and how all the sliding glass doors opened up the entire room. Michael was very helpful with getting us checked in and getting all the little extras that made it easier on my family as well as the beautiful welcome gifts! Amazing Place

This place is magical! We came with our family to get married and could not have picked a better place or location. Our host, Michael, could not have been more helpful. Michael is amazing, very quick to respond and helpful with all requests. Michael is extremely knowledgable about the island, where to go and how to have food delivered, etc etc. He really made this whole process with our wedding much easier - so, thank you, Michael!!! The penthouse is in an amazing location, the beach is amazing. We had 9 people, enough space for all of us and close to all the areas we wanted to visit. Wonderful week at the penthouse

We just returned from a 7 night visit and are so happy we selected this property. It was larger than we needed for 3 adult couples; the cost would have been less to get 3 luxury hotel rooms nearby, but we would have sacrificed a lot of communal space and family time this place enabled us to enjoy. The proximity to the beach is unparalleled. You can hear the waves through the closed doors/windows from the master bedroom and living space. Walking to and from the beach is easy - I even had wifi from the condo while on the beach. And there was always a parking spot just by the stairwell to the condo despite the busy season. Being able to open the entire wall for a huge indoor/outdoor experience was really fun, which we did one night when we had a private chef. The chef recommended by Michael was wonderful. Sunrise was surprisingly nearly as beautiful as sunset with the whole sky going light pink and purple. The beach was never crowded, and we saw whales spouting several mornings from the lanai and also saw sea turtles swimming past us in the water twice while just standing in the ocean. Also it was great to be able to walk right across the street to one of the best delis on Maui for a breakfast or lunch sandwich, for lattes and Hawaiian ices, to The Cinnamon Roll Place, to a liquor/wine/beer store, to a grocery store, and much more. Prices at these local spots were much less than we would have paid were we trapped on a luxury resort for every purchase. There were no negative surprises. Check in/out was simple, photos are accurate, the place came well stocked with towels, cleaning supplies like laundry detergent, lots of spices and pantry staples, all the cookware and glasses you need. Also probably 10 beach chairs, several umbrellas, plenty of snorkel gear and pails and life vests etc. We never hauled out the paddle boards and kayaks as they are quite large and tightly stuffed into their holding container - it just seemed like too much hassle. The only small complaint I had was that the wooden bed frames creak, which can disturb a light sleeper even when simply rolling over in the night (beds and pillows were quite comfortable though). The addition of an espresso machine and water filter would take the amenities over the top. We refilled our water bottles continually, but the tap water had a slight aftertaste to me. We would definitely return and recommend this place! Mahalo

Had a wonderful stay in the Penthouse in Kihei. Perfect for a family of 9 ages 18 to 81. The property manager was extremely helpful and quick to reply anytime I had a request. Thank you Michael for everything. Check in and check out was easy. The bedrooms were large, clean and had everything youd need. The location is perfect. Beyond fantastic!

I was a little worried in the beginning when planning this trip of a lifetime after reading some blogs which said “some” vacation rental sites prestage the property photos to make the rental appear larger, more beautiful, or closer to the beach than it really is, etc. This was absolutely not the case for Penthouse Maui. In fact, as beautiful as the property photos that are displayed on VRBO it is even more beautiful in person. Absolutely breathtaking!

Lovely Location

Being on the beach was the most important factor in choosing the Penthouse. With young children it meant we could access the beach anytime, day or night. We loved the open floor plan of the condo, it enabled all of us to be together and enjoy the amazing views, including unforgettable sunsets.

A fun-filled & interesting experience!

The property is very "user-friendly" and centrally located in Kihei town. A large (4 bedrooms & a room with a sleeper sofa) clean and well stocked with all amenities and kitchen stuff. The perfect place to stay in Kihei!

The Penthouse was perfect for our two families. It had all the amenities and toys - paddleboards, boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs, etc. We used the spacious veranda outside for dinners watching the sunset, playing family card games, watching whales breaching, and after-dinner drinks. The beach was perfect for paddleboarding and swimming. Our kids loved the freedom of going across the street for an array of breakfast and lunch options. The Surf beach was a 5 min beach walk (with rental surf shop right across the street), where we saw so many sea turtles we lost count! The Property Manager was so accomodating and our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the Kihei area.

Incredible condo and location

The condo and location was incredible. We traveled with 6 adults and 4 kids ages 3-73. The rooms were comfortable, most of us getting our best sleep with air conditioned rooms and sound of the waves crashing. The condo is fully stocked: kitchen equipped with anything you need, plenty of towels and linens. We thoroughly enjoyed all the beach toys: kids sand toys, tommy bahama beach chairs, paddle boards, kayak, umbrellas, etc. Enjoyed sandy beach walks down to Wailea and kids loved the nearby pool. We had a list of activities but didn’t get to half of them because we never wanted to leave our place. Host was very helpful and accommodating, he’ll ensure you have a wonderful stay. Already booked for next year and can’t wait!

Amazing Condo with breathtaking views!

What an amazing place to enjoy a long family vacation. We were a family of 9 ages 5-93 and everyone had a wonderful time. The lanai was incredible for whale watching, lounging, morning coffee and memorable sunsets. The penthouse was spotless, had all amenities imaginable and plenty of room for us to cook, lounge and sleep. The host and property manager were responsive, left an incredible gift basket for our arrival and the property had several binders with instructions regarding the property. We appreciated and used most of the outdoor beach and water sports equipment. One particular day, we hit the jackpot when we were using the kayak and paddle board and watched whales up close and personal! The penthouse was by far the best place we have stayed and the memories we made will forever last a lifetime. It was very difficult leaving the penthouse and Maui for home. Thank you for sharing this incredible property with us, we plan to return again!
