Check in wasn't the greatest. The credit card terminals and computer wasn't operational. Come to find out, they had no internet service. In case this, visiting travelers with RSVPs should have been notified immediately of this inconvenience. Considering, they're 25 mins from pretty much everything, this is critical to have considering safety issues alone. The toilets aren't scrubbed on the inside. Some of the doors to the open balcony, sitting area, big openings under door allowing outside bugs to enter at will. So you would have geckos, bees, small sand crabs , baby spiders, or anything small enough to fit under the door, would enter. Big spiders outside the big window. Still there. We didn't bother it because we knew it was at all times. I get it, set in the jungle/outside nature, but at least make sure the vacationer rooms are addressed of these issues. You dont' want to open and see huge spider webs and several spiders in main window. TV's need major updating. we could have lived with netflix/prime while cable was out, but tv's are not smart tvs. first night, special event, but the music was so loud. For this type of establishment, there are still noise levels to be obtain, this had none. didn't stop until midnight, but at this point, I was ready to go and hadn't been there 24 hours. The property itself and settings are nice. Needs to be properly maintained and cared. The views outside our room nice, but couldn't enjoy it very much. We ended up cutting our trip short.

I came for a Mother’s Day with my mom, for a quick get away. The staff upon arrival were very helpful and friendly. The hotel room however was nothing like the photos. They were filthy, broken door latches, and mold out of this world. I know at times some island hotels may have that moldy smell due to moisture I’m no stranger to traveling throughout the islands. But this was well beyond what I’ve ever seen. The housekeeping staff would not replace wash clothes / bath towels upon request we definitely tipped every single time. On top of all these things the hotel hosted a prom on Saturday night 05/10/25. Because there’s only two restaurants we couldn’t even head that way. We were never informed prior that there would be a prom. The music lasted all night long. What was supposed to be a relaxing getaway turned into anything but. I would not recommend this hotel.

Property was very nice and quiet and secluded, the staff were decent, Bartenders were great especially Erald did an excellent job, and the fastest out of all the bartenders. He definitely ran the business like it was his. The landscaping was great, some of the trees need to be edged up properly and take off the building. The pool was clean. Need some more umbrella tables by the pool. Stuff we didn't like for a five-star hotel, old school setup in the rooms like the windows and doors, grass growing on the building, gutters filled with leaves, and galvanize on roofing rusted out. Sidewalks need to scrape in certain areas where mud was accumulated that could have cause a slipping hazard, sidewalks should have also been pressure washed. On 5/9/2025 we lost power for about 10-20mins and was in complete darkness by the pool area, no solar lights were around to guide us where to go or there wasn't even an automatic transfer switch to switch over the power. We even lost power on 5/10/2025 in the morning and it took us a about 5 mins to get the power back on. Also when checking in on 5/9/2025 it was very hard to find our building, because the building wasn't numbered and the area was dark. The number was on the floor and hard to see, like we are in 2025 these buildings should have LED numbers lite on them on all four corners so tourist can find their way around. On a scale from 1-10, I would rate it a 7 still enjoyed my stay, but could have been way better though.

First time here at this resort. The weather was off and on rainy most of the week. The room was clean and presentable. There are no phones in the room so you have to walk to reception if you need anything. There are two large TVs but cable service is spotty at best. We had a problem with the diverter valve in our shower. The issue was promptly addressed. The fan lights are controlled by a remote. They had a tendency to come on by themselves at 2AM. You have to flip the switch on the wall to deactivate it or it may inadvertently come on. The pool was exceptionally clean. The canvas coverings on the cabanas need to be replaced. Food service was great with the two restaurants; however there is no poolside waiter for food or drink. The bar is 50 feet away so it’s no big deal. Check in and checkout went smoothly. There is taxi service to take you to Christiansted for $40 each way. We’d come back here again….

This place is a scam!!! TOTAL FRAUD First, when I checked in, they told me that their system was down so they cannot run my CC to put that hold for incidentals. They had me write down my credit card information. A few days later, I called the front desk 20 times at least and no one picked up. Fed up, I decided to walk to the front desk and the ladies working were dancing around like it's a night club. It didn't bother me much but did give off the unprofessional vibe. I asked for that piece of paper with my information back and the front desk lady had no idea what I was talking about. I explained what was done when I checked in and she said she would look for it. I also asked for some soap since our stay was 5 days. They promise to bring the soap to my room. The soap never came. At check out, I asked again about the piece of paper containing sensitive information and the front desk lady said she has no idea what I'm talking about. Her exact words were "Why are you asking me, I am not the one checking you in" After speaking to the "manager" and explaining the situation again, they finally found the paper but refuse to give me claiming that it has to be filed away. A week and a half after checking out I found charges on my credit card from the hotel. I called and they claimed that it was for the restaurant onsite. I NEVER WENT TO THEIR RESTAURANT. This clearly shows that they fraudulently used my credit card information. DO NOT STAY AT THIS "RESORT"

We loved it! Very peaceful, beautiful resort. The beach was great and did some snorkeling. The food was very good at the bar and grill. Our room was perfect, we had a beachfront jr suite. Stunningly beautiful views everywhere you look. Highly recommended unless your expecting to be completely catered to. Staff was friendly and helpful. We wanted a great getaway and Carambola Beach Resort delivered a massive win for us! We would definitely stay here again.

Property beautifully situated on the beach. Never been closer. Love Cane Bay. I recommended to Marriott adopting an extended stay protocol for those of us saying 4 or more nights. Housekeeping was difficult to understand and sometimes left us asking for TP and a bed change. They seemed to be set up for overnights and weekends. All in all a dream vacation.

Although this is a Marriott property it does not live up to the Marriott standards. The room was not clean ....towels were soiled. The property was beautiful as far as the scenery but the service needs to be improved. Room service was not available....bell man was not available. Do better Marriott!!
