We enjoyed our stay at the R Hotel Kingston. It was centrally located near a few restaurants in the area. The room was spacious, and our view from our room to look out at Kingston was beautiful. Overall, great service, but we did experience a few times where we had to wait for staff to appear at the registration and at the rooftop restaurant.

My stay was Ok. Free breakfast was good until my last morning I was told that my breakfast selection was a mistake... I think Jamaican breakfast should be serve to anyone. That was disappointing. The bathroom needed a better clean... I saw the cleaner cleaning a room... by sitting on a bed and chatting on the phone for a long time, I can see how difficult it would be to clean a place with the phone to ones ear. The initial receptionist was pleasant. Parking is close actually under the building with access to the lobby. The hotel is centrally located which makes it accessible to entertainment, restaurants, medical services and shopping. The kitchenette is good too if I needed a cup of tea I can have it, the small refrigerator is a plus too. The kitchen seems clean. Washer and dryer is perfect and a huge plus for those light travelers who didnt pack much. Overall my stay was pleasant. My recommendation is a supervisor should inspect room that is cleaned and Jamaican breakfast should be a choice.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Had a few issues with leaking air conditioning units which were fixed.There were limits on wifi access- it was very slow or did not work for streaming apps.

Hotel falls short on many aspects especially if travelling for business. Absence of charging points in the room which is in need of updating. Breakfast was disappointing, lap pool only allows for one swimmer if you're inclined to use when guests are eating, however staff are excellent.

The staff from the front desk to the bar were all friendly and helpful. We were extremely early for check in so we expected to wait for a room. They advised us a room was ready, they gave us an upgraded 2bed 2 bath loft, and then after taking us to the room came back to get us saying it was due for maintenance. We waited a couple hours for another room still a 2 bed 2bath loft. We went out and came back in the evening during which there was a rain storm and there was a leak over the bed in the main room w the ensuite. So we ended up sharing a bed and not having 2 beds which we booked and no offer of compensation. The wifi stopped working after 1 day we had to be given a new code. Our breakfast was included it was made to order so the wait was a little bit. If in a hurry the continental option is best
