My 3rd stay at S Hotel didn't disappoint. The rooms were clean and functional (lots of reggae decor) although I miss the distinctive red. Breakfast options were as good as ever, lots of local cuisine. Check in and checkout were hassle free. Didn't disappoint. Would stay again

This properly is excellent Nice and relaxing great connivence location staffs are polite and friendly the entire hotel is clean love the security and other features the room comes with u dont have to put a dnd tag your room door . U can press a button in the too once if lit in red it mean privacy dnd it stay on until u remove it . Breakfast was excellent . ..highly recommend

First Time at S Hotel in Kingston

The S Hotel in Kingston used to be called the Spanish Court Hotel, which is helpful to know for your driver! It is a lovely hotel off Trafalgar Road, so within walking distance to Devon House (for delicious patties, bakery items, and even sit-down restaurants). Across the street is a grocery store for fruit and snacks, etc. Our room rate included breakfast, which was wonderful! It saved us time (and money). It was buffet style with Jamaican fare, and also scrambled eggs/toast. Some mornings I ordered an omelet, which was also included. Inside our room we had a mini frig. Bottled water was included the first day, and then we used our Brita water bottles to purify the tap water as needed. We also had a small single serve K-cup coffee machine with Blue Mountain coffee--very nice. The bathroom had a garden style tub, amenities (shampoo/conditioner, bath gel, soap, and lotion), and was spacious. Our room was on the 3rd floor (top floor) and we had floor to ceiling windows with pull-down shades (for the morning sun/heat) as well as curtains. We slept well. Very quiet. The pool area is very nice and for guests only. There is also a hot tub (rectangle shaped, so very large). You can order food and drinks from the pool bar. On the bar is complimentary infused chilled water. Overall, a very nice first impression and stay at S Hotel in Kingston.

I have always stayed in this hotel when I visit Kingston. However, the last 2 stays at this hotel has been disappointing. The owner is cutting down on things like the complimentary rum punch. The breakfast has beeen wittered down too. When I visit Jamaica I want a Jamaican breakfast like plantain. I asked and was told I would get them only to be disappointed. I bought 2 yogurts and found out to my dismay that the fridge wasn't working. This should have been checked before the room was rented out. A lot of new staff, especially in the restaurant and not on greeted me. This used to be such a nice hotel and the staff were like family. Alas no more. The manager did say she would refund me one night. So some recovery. Not sure If I would stay there again though

A bit too arty, record player in my room for display but no use therefore wasting space. Tap water is drinkable, which is great. Pool is open until 20.00 which helps to relax and combat the heat. Breakfast is adequate with one Jamaican specialty each morning and you can also sit outside. Massive supermarket called wong's is opposite the hotel so you visit its food court to save money on everything. Area is very safe when walking at dusk and dark. Only down side is that there is a lack of street food. Has international fast food places but the local joints close by 18.00. The food is a let down otherwise in the area and quote expensive. Transport wise, all good. Very close to knutsford express to go all over the island. I used shared taxis cost 180-200 Jamaican dollars to get to down town north parade bus station and see the sights there. Try and avoid the drivers forcing you to take a charter which increases prices. Jutc buses to the suburbs cost 100 jamaican dollars. Locals in the area are friendly and helpful, unlike the common stereotype of of kingston. I staued nearly a week and found it a great place to visit kingston.
