Halo Hospitality’s Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions apply. Upon booking, the renter will receive the Terms and Conditions and agree to review and sign. These terms will include, but are not limited to, the following:
GUEST VERIFICATION Experienced guests with 5 or more positive reviews may request to be waived from this process, otherwise we do require all guests to complete an additional verification screen through our Guest Portal to ensure the safety and security of our community. This 60-second verification process must be completed within 48 hours of booking, or at least 2 hours prior to the check-in time if booking on the same day as check-in. You will be prompted to complete this process immediately after booking. This includes:
1) Providing a copy of your government-issued photo ID. 2) Photo Verification 3) Confirming your contact information & agreement to our Rental Terms and Conditions 4) Security deposit hold. ✧Any guest who confirms a reservation will be responsible for damages up to $500. An authorization hold will be placed on your credit card. It will be removed once you check-out and if nothing is damaged.
Guests who have questions about this process are encouraged to reach out prior to booking! The information is collected for screening and verification only and is not stored or used for any other purposes. We thank you for your cooperation. Guests who fail to complete our verification process within 48 hours of booking may be subject to cancellation.
HOUSE RULES 1) Guest Count: Please include the correct number of guests in your booking. Visitors outside the reservation are permitted under most circumstances, but we do require guests to request permission prior to having visitors. 2) Check-in: Please notify us once you have accessed the property. Please inspect and report any unsatisfactory conditions within 2 hours of check-in. Non-urgent issues reported after 9:00 pm will be promptly addressed the next day. 3) Noise Policy: Keep noise to a minimum after 10:00 PM to respect our neighbors and local community. We will contact you directly for any reported disturbances, prior to reporting any nuisances with local authorities. 4) Non-Smoking Policy: Smoking, vaping, and the use of e-cigarettes are not permitted within the property. Any violation, will result in a minimum $300 smoke remediation fee. 5) No Parties: Events and parties are strictly prohibited to maintain a peaceful environment. We will contact you directly for any disturbances, prior to reporting any nuisances to local authorities. 6) Pets: We love our Pets! but they are not allowed in most units, ensuring a clean and allergen-free space for all guests. a.If the property is labeled as “Pet-friendly”, pet’s are allowed at the expense of $50/night, up to $250. The Pet Fee will be requested after booking via the resolution center, and is paid separately from the reservation. 7) Damage Policy: Any damage caused during your stay will incur repair costs plus a labor charge. A Wear & Tear fee up to $500 per occurrence will be applied for any rule violations related to pets, smoking, or parties. 8) Checkout: Before checking out, please place trash in trash cans, start the dishwasher with used dishes, and begin a wash cycle for used towels. Security: Ensure all doors and windows are securely locked when not present. 9) Age: Guests must be 25 years or older to make a reservation.
Failure to comply with any of these policies may result in the immediate cancellation of your reservation without refund.
CANCELLATIONS We adhere to the cancellation policy as outlined at the time of booking. Please note, exceptions due to illness, weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances are not covered unless stated otherwise. Guests are encouraged to purchase travel insurance at the time of booking to cover unforeseen events. Requests for cancellation outside of this policy will be directed to your travel insurance provider.
EARLY CHECK-IN'S & LATE CHECKOUT REQUESTS 1) Early Check-ins: We are unable to guarantee an early check-in will be possible in advance due to cleaning scheduling. However, on the day of your check-in we will notify you as soon as the property is available & there is no fee for an early check-in. Early check-in requests will be submitted to our team, but please do not expect a response until the day of check-in.
2) Late Checkouts: Are available on a case-by-case basis, depending on the property and cleaning schedule. Requests should be made at least 12 hours in advance of your check-out, and are subject to approval of our cleaning team, which may not be able to respond until the morning of your scheduled departure. We do have a late checkout fee of $25/hr. Separate charge.
POLICY VIOLATIONS 1) Late check-out without prior approval will be charged at $50 per hour. We may remove occupants and their belongings from the property if unresponsive, or uncooperative. 2) Excessive Cleaning will be charged at $50 per hour. We will provide proper documentation and photo evidence of excessive cleaning required. This will be applied towards unexpected cleanup of spills, stains, bodily fluids, biohazardous materials, odor remediation, etc. 3) Damaged/Missing items will be charged at the replacement cost + Labor. We will provide proper documentation and photo evidence of any Damages or Missing Items.
REPORTING ISSUES Please report any issues within 2 hours of check-in to allow us the opportunity to resolve them promptly. Non-urgent issues reported after 9:00 PM will be addressed the following day. We may not be able to resolve, or provide a resolution, to issues that are not reported in a timely manner, lack sufficient documentation, or do not provide us with enough time to respond effectively during your stay. We are here to help!
LOST & FOUND Please ensure you have all your belongings before departure. Items left may be held up to one week at our local office for pickup, or can be shipped back at a minimum fee of $50. We are not responsible for locating left items.

Big Ears Festival stay
I was in town for a music festival and really enjoyed being closer to downtown/Old City, a very leisurely 8-10 minutes away. The place was very clean, very comfortable bed and sitting areas. Kitchen was spacious and had everything I needed, including a gas stove which I really appreciated. Nice leafy residential neighborhood that was very quiet and peaceful.

There are no window coverings for most of the house. Outside camera facing into kitchen. There was no way to completely secure the back door. Multiple windows unlocked upon arrival. One window unable to lock. The next day there were curtains ajar and windows again unlocked.

We had events to attend so we only were able to sleep there for one night. But we did enjoy it the short time there. The Nieghbor was very friendly…. found out he lived in Torrance before the same city I’m from! Everything was clean spacious and beautiful. I just wished there was more TV’s it would have been nice for my dad to be able to watch some tv while in bed. Host was the absolute best! He responded to my questions so quickly. I had A couple of family members come for dinner and they would like to use your home for their next visit. They loved it as well.. thank you for everything!

Dishonest listing regarding pets
The stay was fine. However, the property is not truly pet friendly, as hidden cleaning fees of up to $300 come up and pets are not allowed on the furniture and this was not listed on the VRBO listing and such disclosure should be standard fare. Animal hair does not equate to property damage and should be expected in a "Pet-Friendly" listing, especially considering that pet friendly properties carry an additional fee anyhow.

Cozy yet spacious..
We were greeted with a nice cold house that was nice and cold. It was a lot more spacious than we thought it would be. It is an older house which comes with it's own issues but they are doing a good job at taking care of them. It was great to have laundry in the house. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were nice and big. It was nice having a half bath. Made mornings a lot easier. Only thing I wish was better equipped is the kitchen. Not a deal breaker but defiantly a plus to have a stocked kitchen as far as pots, pans and every day spices go. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. The neighbors said hi and never gave us any issues. I believe one of them even brought in the trash can for us. We wouldn't hesitate staying here again if we are ever back in Knoxville. It was close enough to downtown but far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle. Less than a 10 minute drive to and from downtown. There is a local pizza place near by about 1.7 miles from the house that was actually really good. Wish I could remember the name. Overall great place, great time spent and more memories added.
