This was a great first resort experience. The staff were amazing, food was incredible. The breakfast bar has a lot of variety. Only thing I would change, people were smoking by the pools rather than the smoking areas and it was gross.

Great property. Great room. Great staff and food. The only downside was the actual beach. Not one you can walk along. Other than that it’s all good.

No internet in the room for the whole of 5nights stay. Internet at reception is no good as well. Room bell/buzzer keeps seeting off in the middle of night at least 3 times while in our sleep and it usually around 1:30am and 4am. Told management about it, but it seems too complicated for them to understand.

The staff are excellent. The main problems were that the Nora Buri is on a STEEP hill. You can't even walk to your room. The hotel staff drive you to your room in golf carts / buggies it is so steep. However if you get back to your hotel anywhere between 5pm and 10pm there isnt many drivers. You end up waiting in the lobby for up to 1/2 hour for a golf cart back to your room. Disappointing. Also, the bathroom was disappointing. Old tiles in the shower, and the shower doesn't drain so you are standing in a 20cm pool of used shower water. Our friends 2 rooms also had plumbing problems. I wouldnt be back.

Absolutely beautiful resort on Koh Samui in a great location just outside of Chaweng. We had a Hillside room which was extremely comfortable, with an unbelievable view of an island. The downsides: For an upscale resort the food and beverage was pretty average but plenty of it. at the buffet, a-la carte at night. Also, they had only 4 free shuttle services into town and it's a little too secluded to walk to any sort of food/convenient stores/etc. so you are on your own to get on/off resort property, but we had a wonderful time despite the minor inconveniences.

Very overrated

Pros: Beeach pool
Cons: Service. Cost. Dont get hotel taxi 400b but if hail tuk tuk 100d
Location: Have to get taxi or tuk tuk to everything
Too far away from anything. No shops close by, so have to rely on hotel. Staff very slow service at bar and expensive. Breakfast average. Rooms very big and clean. Beach pool nice area. Would not recommend. Go somewhere closer to amenities. Supposed to have room with see view. Parial see view with a big roof blocking out most of it

Could not fault Nora Buri!

We stayed in a hillside 'garden view' villa which actually had a fantastic view of the ocean as well. The accomodation was very spacious and we'll equipt. The staff were fantastic - very friendly and always anticipating our requests. We were able to use all the resort facilities both before checkin and after checking out. The included buffet breakfast was impressive, and restaurant facilities were high quality and affordable. The resort provided free daily shuttle busses to Chaweng beach, which is about 10 minutes away from the resort itself. The pool facilities were beautiful, giving the resort a 5 star feel. We would definitely return to Nora Buri!

Excellent 5 star quality staff

Pros: Hillside Villa, Pools, Food and customer serivce
Cons: more buggies
Location: Chaweng town center which the hotel offer free shuttle bus into town
upon check in we were taken to our room and shown around, hotel staff went out of there way to please us and make our stay special. Would recommend this hotel to any other couples staying in Samui and recommend the hillside villa
