Matches the listing EXCEPT serious cockroach problem

The apartment is serviceable—nice firm beds, good air conditioning, nice pool and gym in the building. Generally, it matched my expectations. However there is one major problem: it has a serious cockroach issue. I think the issue is recent because the cockroaches we saw varied a lot in size, with some being so tiny you had to lean in to check they were roaches. But there is a whole family setting up. Nothing by the beds, luckily, but kitchen and bathroom we saw at least a dozen over the course of our five days in the apartment. On the kitchen counters, the floor, the toilet, etc. I should have said something sooner but at first I thought maybe that’s just what it’s like living in a tropical country—you get a lot more critters. However, now that I’ve stayed at other apartments in Malaysia during this trip, I know it’s not normal. The apartment host was responsive to messages; I feel confident this issue will be solved in the future.
