Loved The Majestic - it achieves the rare combination of being a 'heritage' property, but also being luxurious. It doesn't quite match up to The Imperial in Delhi, but it is not too far off. Excellent staff, lovely rooms and decent public areas. I wish we'd had time to stay longer.

Like the location it’s walking distance to the historical KTMB and train station. It’s especially beautiful at night. Downside is there aren’t too many options for food close by. After the restaurants closed for the night, it’s unlikely to get some late night snacks. Extremely low pressure for hot water in the shower and the temperature control panel for the room doesn’t seem to work. May need a bit of upgrade on that. Breakfast buffet was wonderful and truly satisfying with all types of cuisine.
