Even though Kuruppumthara's not exactly known as Kottayam District's accommodation hot spot, it does feature the Varsha International Residency, which is relatively close to the city centre.
35 kilometres from the middle of Kuruppumthara is the Raheem Residency. Alternatively, the Panoramic Sea Resort is 35 kilometres away. More hotel options here include the Pagoda Resorts and the Rainbow Cruises.
If time allows, be sure to discover more of Kerala. Kerala boasts beaches and coastal plains. Popular Kerala tourist draws are the traditional villages. Or join the locals in the mountain biking and mountain climbing while you are here.
Kottayam is situated 16 kilometres to the south of Kuruppumthara. While here, be sure to enjoy the Thirunakkara Mahadeva Temple. If you enjoy sports and want to see local games, you might like to head to Nagambadam Stadium, which is 15 kilometres to the south of Kuruppumthara. Sports fans wanting to stay close to the action can make a choice from the Backwater Retreat - Honeymoon House or the Windsor Castle.
