Welcome to this beautiful cottage in quiet surroundings.



From the house you have a spectacular view over the Hardangerfjord and towards Folgefonna. Around the house there is a large outdoor area with its own apple orchard and berry bushes. Here you can enjoy good weather on the terrace in a beautiful natural environment. There are good hiking opportunities in the forest and many marked hiking trails. Here you can visit for example Slåttenuten, Krokavatnet or Sjusete. If you prefer cycling, there is a beautiful 17 km marked cycling trail from Norheimsund to Tokafjellet and back. Good fishing in the fjord and several lakes in the area. In Norheimsund you will find stores and restaurants, a nice sandy beach and the attraction Steinsdalsfossen.



Another tip is to visit Øystese. Here you will find Gullfiskvatnet resting and swimming place. In Fyksesundet there is Landscape Park, Aquasenter and Steinstøs fruit and cake kiosk. If you want to take a longer day trip, Folgefonna summer ski center, Baroni Rosendal and Eidfjord with the Norwegian Nature Center, are within easy reach. Here you will experience the most beautiful nature and sights of Western Norway within reach.

Eigentlich ein sehr gut eingerichtetes Ferienhaus in schöner Lage mit großartiger Aussicht auf den Hardangerfjord. Sehr gerne würde ich eine gute Bewertung schreiben. Das kann ich aber nicht, weil die Vermieter ihre Gäste durch falsche Angaben täuschen. Wir haben dieses Haus nur gebucht, weil drei Schlafzimmer angeboten wurden. Es sind aber nur zwei! Auf meine Anfrage per E-Mail, wo sich das dritte Schafzimmer befinde, bekam ich keine Antwort. Als drittes Schlafzimmer zählen die Vermieter offenbar einen nicht verschließbaren, jalousielosen und über eine offene Treppe zugänglichen Durchgangsraum, der als Fernsehzimmer genutzt wird. Das Bett für „zwei Personen“ ist gerade mal 120 cm breit und befindet sich unter der offenen Holztreppe in diesem Durchgangszimmer. Natürlich kann hier jemand schlafen, die Vermieter sollten aber so ehrlich sein und das nicht als drittes Schlafzimmer verkaufen. Der „offene Schlafboden“ ist sehr niedrig, ohne Standhöhe und nur über eine Hühnerleiter zu erreichen. Für uns nicht nutzbar. Das Haus scheint einem kinderlosen Paar zu gehören. Wegen der steilen Treppe ist dieses Haus jedenfalls nicht für Familien mit kleinen Kindern zu empfehlen. Für ein einzelnes Paar oder zwei befreundete Paare ist dieses Haus sehr schön.

Das Haus - top. Die Lage - top. Die Aussicht- unbeschreiblich schön. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Urlaub am Fjord.
