Nice hotel in the beautiful area of Podil.

Pros: The hotel is only a few years old & therefore things were in good condition. The breakfast whilst simple was more than adequate for the avg. traveller
Cons: A more enticing bar within the restaurant would be of benefit.
This hotel is a 20-30 min walk from the center of Kiev (Maidan). The staff were excellent in particular the young ladies at the front desk who assisted us with organising Taxis, helping us recover our lost luggage & offering advice on attractions. The room was spacious, clean & nicely appointed. The only negatives were that the toilet was too close to the wash basin & there was a sewerage odour on some occasions from the bidet, apparently the freezing conditions cause issues for the old sewer system in Podil. We will be back in Kiev in the next 12 months & will definately consider the Staro again.
