The rooms are gorgeous—spacious, elegant, and incredibly comfortable, with an attention to detail that truly sets this property apart. Cleanliness is impeccable throughout the hotel. Breakfast was outstanding—fresh, beautifully presented, and one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had in Japan. The ofuro in the spa is divine—a serene, deeply relaxing experience and the perfect way to unwind after exploring the beautiful garden with beautiful shrine and koi fish. We genuinely loved every second of our stay. Four Seasons kyoto has raised the bar and is now one of our favorite hotels anywhere. We cannot wait to return.

We had an exceptional experience. From the moment we set foot on the property we received a warm welcome & the service felt customized and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us . For the uptick in price because of the Christmas holiday $1000 per night it was a mediocre experience. The tub didn't have enough hot water, I smelled bacon in my room on the 3rd floor from the kitchen, the gym mirror were dirty in the same spots 2 days in a row. High tea wasn't great and i wish i had it at the Ritz, where i came from. The omakase was just ok. I had better outside of the hotel. The hotel seems under staffed and the staff wasn't very trained in high end hospitality. I wouldn't pay $1000 to stay here.

The Best Four Seasons Hotel!

We have stayed in many Four Seasons Hotels before, Kyoto is one of the best two in overall experience, together with Bora Bora. The service here is by far the best! Looking forward to going back soon!

This hotel offers a great experience with its exceptional service. However, I wish there were more dining options available, as the nearby area seems to be quite inactive. Additionally, the garden could be improved by installing better lighting to make it usable at night.
