Our favourite stop on Fuerteventura

We stayed here in 2021... and wanted to return. We fianlly had the chance in February 2024 and weren't disappointrd. It really is a lovely property. About 40 minutes walk from the restaurants of El Cotillo along the clifftop path... or about 30 minutes by the more direct inland route. Far from mass tourism, this is a great place to relax. We'll be back again, sometime.

It's a lovely apartment, in a rural location about 30 mins walk from El Cotillo and its bars and restaurants. A car is essentisl, but the wonderful "steps beach" is just about 30 minutes walk, further away from El Cotillo. The hosts are delightful, the property very homely and the town has everything you need!!

Wonderful private residence with easy walks to beaches

Beautiful home with well appointed kitchen for making meals. Comfortable bedrooms and baths. Great rooftop for relaxation and a variety of areas for enjoyment of meals. Easy walks to uncrowded beaches. Very friendly host. We went without a car. 2.5 km walk to bus for Correljo and to stores for groceries. We enjoyed a very relaxing time and would recommend for those wanting to enjoy time away from crowds.

beautiful place

This is a fantastic place to stay, but you do need a car for shopping. The mountains are beautiful to see as you open the front door in the morning. All day they look beautiful as the sun streams down onto the patio, and eating outside is a real pleasure, too. Everything in the house is good, with a well equipped kitchen, and a lovely airy bedroom with comfortable beds. Aline and Johan are good hosts but never intrusive, There are hens, a donkey, and a couple of horses. Johan brought us a couple of beautiful fresh eggs from the hens which made our holiday complete.

Total Peace,quiet & privacy but with a few compromises 4kms from El Cortillo via a dirt track so not realistically within walking distance of restaurants & facilities so ended up in the car more than planned the walk to the nearest beach was also further than expected and on a windy or hot day was challenging Some of the property details were 'lost in translation' I.e American style kitchen (well equipt but not large enough to swing a cat) 1/2 bath in reality 2 showers Having said all that we would still choose to stay there again

Everything we could have wished for

This property is ideally situated as while it is located on its own it is within walkable distance from El Cotillo and the sea. We were able to have a number of meals out and then walk back taking in the views including the stars in the clear night sky. We also found a number of tracks across the open space giving direct access to the beaches along the coast. A lot of thought has been given to the layout of the property. It had two main patios and a roof terrace together with a further internal open space, allowing us aways to be able to sit outside with a view regardless of the wind direction or if we wished to sit in the shade. Also while compact the kitchen area was well laid out and enabled us to easily cook all our meals. The best bit about the layout was that it was very different from anything we had stayed in before and made our holiday more special. Thought has also been given to the outside space and how this is shared with the owner's, Aline and Johan. We had our own seperate entrance and views from the patios, although they were close by and very helpful when we needed them. Our holiday was very relaxing and enjoyable and this property and its location was the reason. We are looking forward to a return visit. We would strongly recommend this to anyone who wants a quiet, comfortable holiday with picturesque views.

Peaceful, romantic, great views

A perfect retreat for some peace and relaxation. The accommodation is spacious and very comfortable, and has everything you will need for a fabulous holiday. We enjoyed our breakfasts on the terrace overlooking the mountains and had a spectacular view of the stars at night. The village is a short journey away as are the beaches and lagoons of El Cotillo. Aline and Johan are wonderful hosts who are available for any help that you may need, but who very much take a back seat, so it is easy to forget you are not the only people there. This was my second visit and I hope to stay again one day.

Ideal für ruhige und entspannte Ferien

Das Haus liegt etwa 4 Kilometer außerhalb von El Cotillo, vielleicht 500 Meter vom Atlantik entfernt. In dieser Lage ist man absolut ungestört. Das Haus selbst ist sehr schön mit Anklängen an marokkanische Architektur. Je nach Sonnenstand und Wind fand man auf einer der Terrassen immer ein schönes geschütztes Plätzchen. Innen ist das Haus sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet. Besonders die Ausstattung der Küche ließ keine Wünsche offen. Gelegentlich haben sich die Hühner bei uns zum Frühstück eingefunden, manchmal auch die Eselin, die gerne an den Hibiskusblüten knabberte. Der Vermieter ist ausgesprochen nett, wenn seine Hilfe mal nötig war, war er immer zur Stelle. Wir fanden, dass dieses Haus ein wirklicher Glücksgriff war, ideal für uns als vierköpfige Familie. we would come back

This place in the middle of nowhere in the Northwest of Fuerteventura is most appropriate for a recreative holiday. The house, built in some kind of Northafrican style is spacious, tastefully and afectionately furnished and decorated. You don't know which of the many terraces and patios to use first. You can see the sea which is the only you can hear there beside the chicken and the donkey which live at that place. The owners also live there - they take a back seat but are here immediately when you need some help. We would come back! Gabriele & Robert

Traumhaft ruhiges Landhaus in Strandnähe

Das etwas ausserhalb von El Cotillo an einer unbefestigten Strasse gelegene rustikale Landhaus bot uns als Familie mit einem Kleinkind mehr als genug Platz. Der schöne, naturbelassene Strand von El Cotillo liegt nur 5 Fahrminuten entfernt. Wir haben uns an diesem ruhigen Ort sehr wohl gefühlt. Unsere Tochter hatte grosse Freude am Spielplatz und am Trampolin auf dem weitläufigen Grundstück. Aline & Johan waren grossartige Gastgeber und sehr hilfsbereit.

kleines Paradies auf Fuerteventura

Das Haus liegt etwas außerhalb von El Cotillo, man ist mit dem Auto in gut 5 Minuten im Ort. Der Ort selbst ist ein angenehmer Urlaubsort, mit ein paar Geschäften und Restaurants, sehr schön gelegen. Besonders gut haben uns die Strände gefallen - direkt südlich vom Ort ein langer, eher wilder Strand mit tollen Wellen und direkt im Norden des Städtchens eine sehr schöne Lagune zum Schnorcheln, also für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Im Haus gibt es alles, was man braucht und es ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. In wenigen Minuten kann man zu den Klippen laufen und den Sonnenuntergang bewundern. Entspanntes Frühstück mit Blick auf die Berge, dabei immer das Rascheln der Palmen... einfach toll! Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett. Sie wohnen nebenan, aber man kommt sich überhaupt nicht in die Quere. Alles in allem absolute Empfehlung für Urlauber, die abseits von Touristenmassen einen entspannten Urlaub genießen wollen.

Wir sind begeistert

Der Urlaub war genau das, wonach wir gesucht haben! Das Haus ist bis ins kleinste Detail mit so viel Liebe errichtet und konstruiert! Wir haben so viele nette Kleinigkeiten entdeckt. Ich liebte die Dusche! Die Eigentümer sind unglaublich nett und zuvorkommend! Die Lage ist atemberaubend mit der Nähe zur Natur und zum Meer. Die Tiere der Eigentümer sind lieb und geduldig. Super Ferien!!

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub in einem hervorragenden Haus. Man muss sich an diesem herrlichem Ort einfach wohl fühlen. Das Haus ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die vielen verschiedenen Terrassen, sehr nette Vermieter, viel Platz und zum nächsten Strand nur knapp 10 Minuten. Ein Auto ist allerdings sehr empfehlenswert. Wir haben den nicht vorhandenen Massentourismus sehr geschätzt.

Perfect Location for a Relaxing Gateway!

The house is really cozy and in the middle of nowhere (although really closed to the village El Cotillo and 5 minute-walk from the beach). Kitchen very well-equiped and everything well organised. There is a lovely BBQ with lavic stone outside and several terraces from where you can watch stars at night! :-)

beautiful holiday home

We had a very nice time in the holiday home of Johan and Aline. The house is situated in a unique and beautiful location. With the view to the hills and on the other side the sea is rushing. We had a very nice family time. The children love to feed the donkeys and chickens in the morning. The starry sky at night is incredibly beautiful. Thank you for everything and we will surely come back again!

Ein Haus für Menschen die Ruhe suchen u. die Natur lieben

Ein wunderschönes Haus mit 3 sehr schönen Terassen - eine mit Blick auf die Berge, die andere mit Blick auf das Meer u. dann noch eine Dachterasse von der man den Sternenhimmel wunderbar sehen kann. Die Besitzer wohnen nebenan und sind jederzeit erreichbar wenn man sie braucht - sonst sind sie nicht zu sehen-toll!

Total erholt und relaxed!

Dies ist genau der richtige Ort, um mal so richtig abzuschalten! Eine Oase der Ruhe und Entspannung, ohne den üblichen Urlaubs-Rummel. Es kommen höchstens mal ein paar liebe Hühner, Katzen oder Esel ;-) zu Besuch vorbei. Ein außergewöhnliches, herrlich gemütliches Haus in ruhiger, ländlicher Umgebung mit einer ganz besonderen Atmosphäre, wie wir es bisher noch nirgends erlebt haben. Es faszinierte uns die fast wüstenhafte Landschaft mit dem im Tagesverlauf wechselnden Licht... der Sternenhimmel ist eine wahre Pracht... die sausenden (manchmal auch sanft säuselnden) immerwährenden Winde... und das entfernte Rauschen der Brandung... dies alles hat ganz wesentlich zu unserer totalen Entspannung beigetragen... sitzend - oder liegend - in einem der Holzliegestühle auf einer der beiden unteren Terrassen... diese Dinger sind, ausgestattet mit ein paar Kissen, die reinste Wohltat für den Rücken. Das Haus hat alles zu bieten, was für uns wichtig ist und die Ausstattung entspricht fast genau der Beschreibung (einzige Abweichung: Es sind zwei WCs vorhanden, nicht nur eins :-)). Das WLAN funktioniert einwandfrei. Von der Dachterrasse hat man einen wunderschönen Blick auf die Hügel und über die Ebene bis zum Meer und nach El Cotillo... Die Vermieter und Nachbarn, Aline und Johan, sind super nette und angenehme Menschen, sie sind wunderbar unkompliziert und sehr zurückhaltend, ja eigentlich sind sie fast unsichtbar... aber für Fragen und Auskünfte oder bei evtl. Problemen stehen sie ihren Gästen gerne jederzeit zur Verfügung. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es herrliche Natur-Strände, in der geschützten Badebucht "La Concha", nördl. von El Cotillo, ist auch das Baden mit Kindern möglich. Das Meer ist fußläufig in ca. 15 Minuten erreichbar, entlang der Steilküste kann man kilometerweit wandern... und auch mal den einen oder anderen Abstecher runter ins Meer wagen. Im Fischerort "El Cotillo" gibt es sehr gute Restaurants, Aline hat uns da einige prima Tipps gegeben! Danke an Aline und Johan für die schönen, erholsamen Tage auf Fuerteventura!

Il paradiso NON può attendere

Il titolo esprime esattamente quello che abbiamo provato al ritorno da questa incantevole casa: poter ritornare al più presto in quell'angolo di paradiso! Prima di prenotare abbiamo letto attentamente le recensioni di chi vi era già stato, notando che l'unico appunto era che la casa è molto isolata. Non possiamo assolutamente condividere questa sensazione; la casa è magicamente disposta tra l'oceano e gli scenari della Fuerteventura più incantevole. A pochi minuti di auto, da percorrere su un agevole e bellissima strada sterrata e ad altrettanti pochi minuti a piedi dalle spiagge più suggestive del Cotillo, la casa di Johan e Aline offre un assoluto senso di libertà, unito alla piacevole e rassicurante sensazione di avere i proprietari come vicini di casa, disponibili per ogni evenienza, pur non vedendoli mai, data la loro straordinaria discrezione, che comunque non manca in alcun modo di tutte le premure necessarie a un soggiorno perfetto. La casa è fatta con cura e amore e ogni dettaglio sembra fatto per accogliere e per generare pace e tranquillità. La pulizia è ineccepibile e non manca nulla per farti sentire a casa. Estetica pura! Simplicité, élégance et authenticité : un séjour de rêve en pleine nature!

On ne pouvait pas espérer beaucoup mieux... La propriété, au milieu de presque nulle part, invite au farniente et à la légèreté: - avec ses 4 terrasses, vous avez l'embarras du choix en fonction de l'humeur et de l'heure de la journée; - l'intérieur est décoré avec goût et tout y est fonctionnel et pensé pour un séjour estival; - à l'abri du tourisme de masse de certaines stations balnéaires de l'île, les plages et les restaurants sympathiques d'El Cotillo et Lajares sont à quelques minutes de voiture (voire à pieds ou en vélo pour les plus courageux même si la voiture est indispensable pour circuler sur l'île). Enfin... les hôtes, Aline et Johan, sont parfaitement à l'écoute et vous feront partager, avec simplicité et bonne humeur, leurs bons plans de l'île. Bref... si vous cherchez un séjour au calme sans pour autant être totalement excentré de tout, dans un bel endroit aux belles énergies, foncez! C'est un véritable havre de paix!

Amazing house

Die unterkunft is der wahnsinn. Man hat seine ruhe und kann in vollen zügen geniessen. Absolut abgelegen und doch nache zu alem was man braucht. Wir kommen wieder:)
