Travel Back in Time to this Gorgeous 1950's Remodel

Beautifully appointed 2 bedroom, 2 bath home at the top of La Quinta cove. Two blocks from hiking trails and bike paths. This 1950's home has been completely remodeled and updated with designer finishes. This cozy home comfortably sleeps 6 and is great for small families or a romantic couples getaway. There is a large great room with the original stone wood burning fireplace for those cozy desert evenings. The home is on a double lot with a large grass yard for youngsters to play (rare in La Quinta cove) and the dog to run. A beautiful stone waterfall feature will lull you to deep rest and relaxation as you enjoy the beautiful desert days. Two blocks from the Cove Oasis trailheads and the Fred Wolff Bear Creek Nature Trail where you can walk, jog or ride a bike.

Two bedrooms have brand new comfy memory foam mattresses as well as a Queen sleeper sofa and a twin sleeper sofa in the Great room - both have brand new memory foam mattresses as well.

There is also an outdoor living area with seating for six, high top bar table, lounge chair and BBQ. The designer kitchen is completely equipped with all necessities including spices and cookware, utensils, and full barware.

It doesn’t get any better when you’re surrounded by natural beauty in the La Quinta Cove. A short block from this mid century modern home are walking & hiking trails in mountains. We walked with our dog Scooby at least twice a day & never tired of the experience. The large, grassy backyard is out of this world with privacy & a dark sky at night. The stars are amazing. Many places to eat out, in both Old Town La Quinta & on hwy 111. At the same time, buy groceries & head out to the wonderful yard. The kitchen has everything you need. Lastly the hosts are amazing & respond quickly to any questions. We’ve stayed at this property 4 times, over the years, in early spring & loved everything about it.

Great place for a family stay with a pet

This property is wonderfully furnished with nice appliances and a lovely patio area. The large back yard has a fountain in the corner too. I will definitely for renting this again for family when they come to town.

Perfect for our likes and needs.

The house and location are great. The proximity to the Santa Rosa mountains, the walking /hiking trails, the views, and the nearby oases, are outstanding. The grassy back yard, is private and relaxing, for us and our dog. The house is equipped with most everything we could need. It’s also a short drive to restaurants and services. All of the above are reasons we have made repeat visits, for weeks at a time.

Beautiful Home

Due to our travel lifestyle, I stayed at over 20 properties last year, and this was the cleanest, most well-stocked property I have ever been to, and the beds were comfortable! If you like being outdoors is close to hiking trails and downtown La Quinta is just a few minutes away.

Beautiful, great location

This home was even more beautiful than depicted in the photos and description. I would not change a thing about it. Beautifully appointed, with every detail considered for guests, my friend and I and my dog enjoyed a fun, relaxing weekend here. Catherine and Tim were exceptionally responsive to our (only one or two) questions. The home is thoughtfully furnished, and impeccably landscaped, we enjoyed sunrises, sunsets, and hikes on the local trails in the canyon just a very short walk from the house. It is a short drive to La Quinta Village where we enjoyed some delicious meals and shopping. I hope to stay here again net year, we loved it.

Amazing hosts

This is our second time staying at this house. The owners are so generous and classy with everything. They welcome you with a fresh baked goods ( changes every time) so beautiful and comfy house, one minute walk to hiking trails and 2 minute drive to town. All the places we have stayed in the past, they had a long list of to do list before checking out, but this place did not want us to do anything ❤️❤️❤️

Oasis in the Desert

Very clean. They have everything and I mean everything you need here. We overpacked thinking I would need basic amenities. This place has all that covered. The house is super clean and welcoming, the yard is spectacular. I had breakfast on “the rock” each morning with my lizard buddies. You are surrounded by beautiful mountains. Oasis in the desert!

Wonderful house, yard and location!

We stayed here during the tennis match and therefore spent little time at the house. But when we were there, the house, property and location met every need. Extremely clean, attractive, pleasant and with all needed amenities. The house is remodeled to a 50s style with all modern conveniences--very comfortable and well equipped to deal with heat. As others have pointed out, the yard is large, attractive and really pleasant. We sat outside for breakfast most mornings. Hosts were excellent communicators. Best of all, the house is just 1.5 blocks from an extensive park system with hiking trails of all lengths. Really enjoyed those early morning walks! All in all, a great place to stay!

Beautifully appointed mid-modern house with a great yard, all new appliances, beautiful yard, and super quiet right next to hiking trails. And hosts are super-responsive and thoughtful. Clean and quiet, nicely equipped

Very clean, beautiful backyard with comfortable furniture, super quiet. Owner is responsive and generous, lots of coffee capsules, paper goods, streaming TV etc. Extra clean sheets and towels. One thing to know is that the bathroom for the second bedroom is not adjacent— you have to walk through the kitchen, dining room, down three steps and across the living room to get there, quite a hike in the middle of the night.
