This hotel is located on a quiet hill with a beautiful view, a great place for an overnight stay during a trip, or a weekend get away to some peaceful time. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is abundant with freshly baked pastries. Strongly recommended! Definitely will stay again if passing here again in future.

A great place to stopover on the way back or to the south of France. The town of Chinon is 5 mins away and worth exploring. Host was excellent and very helpful. We got a vegetarian meal ( feel the menu should have this) which was put together for us and was excellent. Lovely room with a pleasant view. Only negative point was a school group who were above us were quite noisy but still got a good nights sleep.

Loire Valley Hotel is a great deal!

This is a very nice place with friendly service. No kitchen utilities, but the restaurant is good and fairly priced. Try the escargot! The air conditioning was a relief!! Very centrally located if you're going chateau-seeing. And the sunset view from the terraces is wonderful. Downer: No working Wi-fi in the farthest rooms. (Ours was #25)

Good spot to start a wine buying stay

We have been using this hotel since it was first taken over by the present Patron and his wife. The rooms are adequate, clean and comfortable, each with a small private terrace. The Patron speaks excellent English and couldn't be more helpful. Madame runs the kitchen and the restaurant is improving with each passing year. Adequate parking and delightful outlook down the valley of the Vienne.makes a pleasant end to the day. Well away from the road and so is an oasis of peace and quiet. No complaints at all, .

Fantastic hotel great service lovely food and excellent family rooms. Stopping over on the way back to the ferry. But wish we'd stayed longer. Hotel manager is a top bloke couldn't do enough for us.

Stylish little hotel.

This was a one night stopover on our drive down to Bordeaux. Lovely location. Owners were very welcoming. Very stylish rooms with beautiful views - steep stairs to mezzanine level in the rooms may be unsuitable for young children. Immaculately clean rooms. Dinner in hotel was delicious - perhaps a little too grown up for children's taste but owners were very helpful with suggestions. There are also plenty of good local restaurants in in the town. Chinon is only a 5mins drive. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious - we enjoyed the home-made pancakes and croissants. Would definitely stay here again - stylish little hotel with lots personal touches.

Enjoyable stay

Stayed two nights as I wanted to visit some Loire Chateaux and Wine caves. Owner very friendly and helpful. Accommodation was clean and comfortable. Breakfast and evening meal was very good. Lovely view from dining terrace.

Awesome!! JC and his wife (who is the chef) have a little gem of a place just outside of Chinon! New, clean, very well appointed, a/c and super comfy beds! I highly recommend the breakfast and dinner...excellent value and delicious. Beautiful views of the valley.
