Compare La Romana Intl. airport accommodation

This is a beautiful luxury resort. The service was top-notch but be prepared to pay premium price for food & drinks. We did receive an Expedia bonus of free buffet breakfast for 2 every morning but we had to explicitly request that the hotel honor this because it was not originally included; otherwise, this would've cost us $90/day (not a typo) including obligatory taxes & tip! Besides the pool, gym, and 2 restaurants in the hotel area, everything else is very far away: the beach, grocery store, movie theater, marina restaurants, Altos de Chavon area. You cannot walk there, you have to take a very slow-moving golf cart which was included. Cars go around you very fast and upset at all the golf carts on the road. We did not feel safe riding the golf carts at night.

Staying at this villa was a beautiful experience, not just because of the amazing place, but because of the people who made it feel like home. There were three wonderful staff members who took such good care of us, Antonio, Humberto, and Anna — professional, kind, and genuinely attentive. But in my heart, there's a special place for Antonio. He is such an incredible human being. The kind of person whose kindness is real — not something put on for tips or approval. He wasn’t trying to impress anyone. He was just himself, and that was more than enough.Honestly, none of the staff ever made us feel like we were just guests they had to serve. They treated us with warmth, and we did our best to give that back. If you’re planning to stay here, remember something important: these are hard-working human beings. They deserve respect, not to be looked down on or treated like you’re above them. If you really want to enjoy your stay, make them feel good, too. That’s where the magic is.No amount of money can make someone humble. But a humble person will always be rich in all the right ways. Be humble. Love these people. Treat them kindly. Our stay was just what we wanted. There were 15 of us and this villa had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation. The rooms were spacious and clean. The property was well maintained. Ronaldo and Drew were attentive & responsive. The staff was fantastic! So friendly! The meals they coked were perfection! We would definitely return!
