Lesson learned! I should have looked at the bird's eye view of the hotel. It may just be me, when looking at the photos of the hotel I was led to believe that you step out of the hotel onto a deck and you're lakeside with an outstanding view! Lakeside is across a major roadway in the region! We booked for a week, for the Nascar race, and our room was very small, no chairs or desk to sit at! Floors are extremely uneven, bathroom door gets hung up on the floor! Shower is really small! Don't drop anything, you have to open the door to pick it up! No vent in the bathroom! Our main reason for the stay was to be close to the race track! That was excellent! Staff are very kind and excellent people, the over average to negative review is for the place itself! Photos are misleading, at least to me! We were "catfished!" Know what you're getting into, I will be more diligent in looking for a place to stay! Some rooms looked to be sizable, ours was not! I was planning on staying there for the week and have a nice quiet relaxing time! Our room was not conducive to that!! Disappointed!

I had a very small room. It’s was clean but didn’t have the lake view but didn’t expect one for the price. The price was very reasonable as I didn’t have much money to spend on a room so it worked just fine for me. I’m sure I will look at staying again once the weather gets cold. I hope you will still have the $80 a night or less would be a nice thought too.. 🙂

The property is located near a regal estate resort built on the same lake. Staff members were untrustworthy I think they charge more for a room that wasn’t even close to the room you booked. Needless to say I checked out early after I saw the bugs!!

Was nice bc u could seat by the lake but there were screw coming up from the walk way as u went in tiles falling out of the ceiling and they never brought clean towels 4 the next day stairs where falling a part some unsafe it definitely not worth the almost of money they changed me 2 stay

the place was very run down walls needed painting could hardly move around in the bathroom the vanity would slid off in your lap as you try to sit on the toilet. there is no lake view and as a picture showing sitting by the beach not true the inn is on the other side of a busy road from the lake. the gentlemen that ran the place was amazing and he was very kind when we told him that we weren't staying and got a room somewhere else. he asked what he could do to make it better and gave us a refund.

We made our reservation a year in advance, but just a few days before our check-in date, I called the hotel to confirm — only to be told they had no record of our booking. They claimed we had canceled, which we absolutely did not. To make matters worse, Expedia was no help at all in resolving the issue. We were left without answers or support at the last minute. Extremely frustrating and unprofessional on both ends. Would not trust either the hotel or Expedia again.

No fire detectors in room, items left in room from previous boarders. Bed spread had a foreign object on it - i could see it being missed- no place for clothes no closet no bureaus. Nice enough bathroom. The owners dont understand its ok to wash exterior windows. They prob dont understand you can wash from inside They looked unwashed for years. Air conditioner was great! Oh yes window screen had holes in it guess they dont know how to repair it i guess. Or dont have money or dont care. Kind of sad beautiful spot

The picture of this place is not what it is. The place is not in great condition. The breakfast that was included with the room price consisted of old fruit and stale bread. We did not eat there. The room was very basic. No glasses for drinking water in the room. The tv did not work. The stairs leading from the office to our room was ready to fall down. This place should not be called an Inn. It is a motel with 2 floors. Finally it was way over priced for this type of place.

I wish i could share pictures of our room! This place was so disgusting! We would've rather slept in our car! Bugs flying around in the room stained towels, disgusting stains and hairs onthe chair in the room, no shower curtain. We had to use our clothrs to cover the disgusting pillowcases! We have stayed here years ago andit is total trash now! They show pictures from years ago on the site. DO NOT waste your money staying here. I could share so much more, but it infuriates me that i actually spent my money here! Expedia should be held accountable for offering this hell hole!

A simple place to sleep.

Cost efficient, but you get what you pay for. Room was so small you couldn’t walk on both sides of the bed. Carpets in hallways were clearly soiled. Bugs on the wall from the air conditioner. We only stayed long enough to sleep so can’t review breakfast.
