Wonderful property. The lady working the front desk was super sweet, accommodating, and very knowledgeable of the surroundings. She gave us some good food recommendations and made the whole process very simple. I can’t wait to return.

Gem of a Hotel

We wanted to stay somewhere quite central and the Residence Lagos was perfect for this, just a 3 minute uphill walk from the square. The hotel is tastefully decorated throughout and is spotlessly clean. We arrived early but the host was very welcoming and quickly made sure that our room was ready. A complimentary bottle of wine, water and fruit in the room was a nice touch, as is the complimentary port. The breakfast was very nice, consisting of fresh croissants, bread rolls, ham, cheeses, boiled eggs, cake, fruit, yogurts and jams, as well as freshly squeezed orange juice available on request. The hotel is quite small but has a cosy feel and we enjoyed sitting out on the balcony for breakfast and in the afternoons. All in all a lovely place to stay.

Very cute property! Staff was very helpful. Bedroom and bathroom were a decent size. Great little laundromat just down the street to do laundry at a reasonable price (vs the per piece price at the property). The only recommendations to share are that bedding and towels could be better quality and the water and amenities in the room could be freshened up daily. This property is situated up a steep hill so plan for a good climb! Walk to the nearest beach is about 15 minutes.

The hostess was very friendly when we first arrived, but we never saw her again, resulting in minimal interaction with staff to ask questions about the area, etc. Location was great... it truly is in the old town, a 10 minute walk to the marina, but you will need a taxi to the train station1

Exceptional Service

The hotel staff was very friendly and exceptionally helpful. Luana was so very kind to ride to the parking lot with us, so that we would not get lost, or turn the wrong way down the narrow streets. Very clean hotel, and we enjoyed the continental breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice. We would stay at this property again.

we were very surprised when we checked in. it was NOT what we expected. I can't understand how I booked it. We were expecting a hotel with rooms and parking. This was more like a hostel, no parking, we were only guests. We did not stay, we booked another hotel and left without staying.

Great place in the middle of downtown

Fantastic location with free parking a 5 minute walk away (very little parking within the “walls” of the ancient city). Very close to the downtown. Maybe 2 minute walk. Breakfast was your standard meat, cheese, cereal and fruit but with freshly squeezed orange juice. Free bottle of wine in the room and free port in the lunch area. Would stay again for sure!

It was nice to be upgraded to the top floor bedroom, with a great view. It was nice to have a complimentary wine. The room has slopped cielings with beams,so you do have to be careful not to hit your head.We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. The bed was comfortable, we had a good sleep. We had a small broblem, which was rectified immediately. We loved our stay and hope to come back.

This was a lovely boutique hotel with many nooks and lovely places to sit and relax. Our room was charming with a terrace that overlooked red rooftops and the ocean. Breakfast was yummy. A great location in the old historic city and we walked everywhere. We will be back !

This was a nice find in the Old Town of Lagos. It is relatively close to the train and bus stations but walking around with wheeled luggage was a challenge! (All up hill on cobbled streets!) Louann was a wonderful host and she ensured our stay was comfortable. This is a small property with less than 10 rooms and without an elevator. Breakfast was adequate but did not vary much during our 4 night stay. It is well situated near the marina and many shops and restaurants. It is located in a quiet area of Lagos.

A very cute, family run small hotel steps from the old town center of Lagos. Our room had a small terrace with a table, 2 chairs and umbrella. It is a 2 minute walk to everything. Note that parking in a free public lot is a five minute walk away. If you have heavy bags you will want to stop momentarily and drop them off before proceeding to park. A good breakfast and free port wine on the counter to quench your thirst at the end of the day.
