Overall, it’s a beautiful resort and the pool is always warm! Parking and resort fees add up so be careful. Be aware of which direction your room faces because that sun is bright nice and early. Breakfast buffet is delicious but expensive.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa and overall had a great experience. The resort is beautiful, with amazing views, well-kept grounds, and a peaceful atmosphere that truly reflects the spirit of Maui. The buffet breakfast was a highlight. The food was fresh and varied, with tropical fruits, pastries, and hot items that made each morning feel special. Even without made-to-order omelets, the quality was excellent. Valet parking stood out as well. The staff were friendly and professional, often asking if we needed help with luggage rather than just taking it, which felt thoughtful and respectful. That said, the valet process itself was inconvenient. Instead of linking cars to room numbers, they use a random number tied to the key. If you do not have it when calling down, they cannot retrieve your car, which caused some frustration. While most of the staff were polite, the overall service did not quite match the VIP-level warmth I have experienced at other Hawaiian resorts. I usually feel more genuinely welcomed elsewhere. Still, the resort has a lot to offer. With a few improvements to service and guest experience, it could easily be a top-tier stay. I would definitely consider returning.

Everything was great except when we wanted to get our room cleaned. We had no idea when the cleaners would come so we felt like we had to stay out of our room all day in order for it to get cleaned

Its a very nice resort walkable distance to a small shopping center and shuttle available as well. Clean and comfortable rooms, excellent customer service. Everyone is so friendly love our stay.

Beautiful beachfront property. We stayed here for 7 nights and had an overall positive experience. Kids loved the pool and easy beach access. Staff were all so courteous and professional. Our only gripe is that wiFi/Internet connection in the room and inside the property was very slow, if at all existent.

Pros- Great place for families. Fun activities for the kids. Short walk to shopping center. Great pool atmosphere for families. Great friendly staff all around. Cons- you will have to walk a bit to get to beach area ideal for laying out. Beach access closest to hotel has a short sand porch. It’s a short walk but keep that in mind. Self parking filled up multiple nights.

The Hyatt is so beautiful and peaceful. We loved seeing the penguins. The pool is opened 24 hours which is nice. Access to clean pool towels 24 hours a day. Steps away from the beach is nice. The breakfast buffet was 5 stars. All the staff were kind and helpful. We are definitely going back..

Everything was clean and well maintained. We were disappointed though that even if we booked through Expedia ocean view room (not partial view), we received a partial view room. The hotel staff told us that “ocean view” is not front view, for front view we need an upgrade but then told us that we cannot upgrade because they don’t have rooms. Very disappointing and quite misleading the difference between Expedia and the hotel room categorizations.
