Our check in was good, they offered an upgrade on our room for $500 larger space so we took it. Arrived in the room and the room had a view of a large tree( no ocean view which we booked originally). This newly renovated room had no bathroom fan and a 2 inch gap at the bottom of the door, letting in light from the hall at night. There was a large tree directly outside the room with a spotlight that at night shined at the room. The pillows on this bed seemed as though they bought them at the dollar store (horrible, just a bunch of feathers in a bag). Two days into our stay the island lost power due to high winds(I do not blame the resort for this),we were without power for a full 24hrs. I did expect the resort to make good on the lost day without electricity which they didn’t. Overall I would not recommend this resort to anyone. The ocean views are obscured by a courtyard full of trees. The resort lacks a functioning restaurant.

The rooms were roomy and clean. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is beach side which is nice. What stood out the most to the wife an I was during the lei ceremony. Auntie was so genuine and real, bless her soul.

Room was wonderful. We had a huge king bed with ocean view on the 6th floor. Best view of any place we’ve stayed! All staff were incredibly nice and helpful! This hotel is perfectly located about a 5 min walk from Whaler’s Village with shops and restaurants. Also, the food window by the entrance to the lobby at hotel has delicious food! The açaí bowl is delicious!!! And Maui Brewery on site is a great restaurant. We highly recommend Outrigger.

Fantastic stay, comfortable, quiet room with partial ocean view. Outrigger places emphasis on Hawaiian culture and traditions which really made the experience more enjoyable and meaningful.

should not be called a resort. it is more of a big hotel than a resort; it does not have a hot tub, does not have a gym / fitness center, it does not have a spa.
