Bliss by the Lake

We spent a week at Bliss by the Lake with our family. The house was well supplied with everything you could need. Very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the paddleboat and access to the water (steps gave you a workout but worth it). Spent some time in Chimney Rock. Cute shops, great restaurants. Had a great time. Would recommend to anyone.

Peaceful and Well Stocked

Extremely well stocked and clean with all the comforts of home! Nice layout for 2 families to spread out comfortably. Very quiet and peaceful little oasis. The location at the end of the lake made swimming less than desirable, but the access to the beach down the road was a nice alternative. Getting back up the driveway was a little daunting at times at well! Overall a great time was had!!

The house eas amazing and the best stocked VRBO we have stayed in. Had a little difficulty finding sheets for the sofa bed and trunnel beds. Lots of outside seating options / my favorite was probsbly the screen porch. Amazing to find such a nice place that was pet friendly. Paddle boat and canoe provided top entertainment for the kids (life jackets were provided) Pool table and darts a favorite of our High School and college kids. One bedroom was missing a tv remote and kitchen lighting a little dim when sun not shining Would definitely consider staying again because overall was an amazing experience

Lake Lure Bliss and Tranquility

Overall highly recommend this house. Lots of space for our family of 6 We loved having the canoe available to us Every morning coffee on the dock in our PJs. Dock is pretty private Loved the screened in porch. NO MOSQUITOES yea!!! The fact that the resort is close by is a big plus. We went in the evening a lot All in all a great find VRBO.

Loved this place!

This house was all and more than the description. It was a great place to stay. So clean, which is important to me. So very well furnished. Decorated so beautifully. The beds were great. The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed all of it. Had fires in the firepit. Took the Canoe and Paddleboat out. The lake is beautiful. The pool table and games were great. TV's in all room. The property manager was very cooperative and friendly. We would stay there again.

Bliss by the Lake

Very nice property, clean and as listed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Kitchen well appointed, beds comfortable. Only things that I can think of that would improve the stay would be: a comprehensive channel listing for the TV (channel guide on tv was incomplete, we discovered dozens of more channels midway through our stay and: additional towel bars in the downstairs bathroom (easily overcome by hanging towels in bedroom closets). Convinient to local attractions, grocery store, etc. We would rent again.

Wonderful place for our three generations to gather. Very clean and well stocked kitchen.

Our host, Sue, was helpful and kept us up to date when there was a power outage in the area. The property actually had more amenities than were mentioned in the VRBO listing. Would not hesitate to go back.

Very welcoming and cozy feel. Enjoyed home and outdoors.

Property was roomy, clean, and offered nice outdoor porch for lounging. Since our visit was in October, we enjoyed building roaring fires in the fireplace. Would definitely stay there again.

Great house and great location!

Bliss by the Lake was a lovely, clean and well equipped home during our one week stay. My family enjoyed our stay and I would certainly rent the property again. My only suggestions to the owners would be to update the kitchen and perhaps the beds and certainly, something could be done to have trash pickup. I am aware there is a bear problem and realize trash can not be left out but it was a real imposition, especially upon leaving with a full vehicle, to take the last of the trash. We attempted to do so only to be stopped due to an ongoing race. We had to take the trash back to the house and deposit it in the bin. Other than that, our trip was most enjoyable and your management most accommodating.

Good Family Time at Bliss by the Lake

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend with extended family at Bliss by the Lake. We were a group of 10 (6 adults, 2 teens, and 2 children), and there was plenty of space for us all. The canoes and kayak were great to have there, and the quietness of the lake was lovely. We did appreciate having access to the resort as well, where we swam at the beach and played mini golf. We certainly would consider returning to this property for another family getaway.

Perfect family house!

My family rented this house over Memorial Day weekend. We were five adults, a 7-year-old and 3-year-old twins. We loved this house! It was clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated with wonderful original art, and had everything we needed. The kids loved the foosball table and the dock and we all loved the screened-in porch. The layout of the house is great because the kitchen, dining area, living room and porch are all one big area, so we were all together even when some people were cooking or playing with the kids or setting the table. It rained for a good portion of our stay, so we didn't get to be outside as much as we'd hoped, so we'll be back to enjoy the boats, lake and dock more! Having access to the Rumbling Bald Lake Resort facilities is wonderful! We played putt putt golf, enjoyed the pool and lazy river, and the kids loved the playground/beach area and the ice cream. We all fell in love with this area and the resort itself. The staff at Buffalo Junction Properties were FANTASTIC to work with. They were responsive, professional and very personable. A staff member and her husband met us to check us in and had resort and house information for us, and gave very clear check-in and check-out instructions. I would definitely recommend this house! We loved every inch of it!

Bliss By teh Lake - on Bald Mountain - The property was clean and better than we expected.

The layout of the property was great for our family. Everyone enjoyed the canoes, kayak, and amenities. The only complaint we had was the rock driveway. We had two front wheel drive cars and had to back out of the driveway in order to get out. If you tried to drive out forward the tires would just spin about half way up due to the steep grade. I would suggest paving the upper two thirds of the driveway.

Beautiful Get Away

We enjoyed the property. Nice and relaxing. The only reason it doesn't get five stars is because you have to wash your own towels and take off the garbage and pay a $175 cleaning fee. Other than that, we had a great time.

Beautiful, well maintained home on private lot.

We really enjoyed this unique home, the pictures do not do it justice! Well equipped kitchen and seating for our group. Private dock, canoes, kayaks a great bonus. Only negative is the driveway was a bit rough to get up and down, gravel needed to be resurfaced, many ruts to maneuver due to the rain fall. Otherwise a superb accommodation!

Perfectly blissful

Bliss by the Lake was just perfect for a long weekend gathering of our group of 5 long-time girlfriends. The house was comfortable in every way, from the seating area around the indoor fireplace, to the open-plan kitchen with large dining table, to the game table just the right size for working jigsaw puzzles, to the screened porch, to the well-placed bedrooms. The sounds of rushing water could easily be heard from the screened porch, adding to the tranquility of the setting. LOVED the fire pit, the view of the lake, the dock and the canoes. A lovely 3.5 mile hiking trail was just down the street. Grocery shopping was easy at the well-stocked Ingles in Lake Lure (where you can also buy firewood) - about an 18 minute drive from the house. We did not take advantage of the massages offered by the resort, but would have if we'd been there a day longer. All in all, a terrific place to relax with old friends.

Family vacation

My family just spent a week at Bliss by the Lake. My husband and me, my sister and her 16 year old daughter, my 86 year old mother, my sons 14 and 12, and a 13 year old friend. It was wonderful! We went on the lake every day. The kids enjoyed the canoes and kayak. My sister had a hip replacement three weeks ago, so Doc Holiday was perfect for her to be able to enjoy the lake with us. We played badminton, cards, watched movies, hiked, played in the pool, putt putt, canoed, kayaked, floated, swam, fished, and read. The house was great. Plenty of room, clean, beautiful, comfortable beds. I highly recommend the house and location. We can't wait to go back.

Felt like home

It was a beautiful home. Thank you for sharing it with our family. We had a great time and made wonderful memories. We had one day full of sunshine and then rain. Despite the weather not cooperating, we enjoyed our inside time watching movies and playing foosball.

Excellent location, loved the lake, home was better than expected.

Had a party of 9, including 5 children between ages of 9 and 14. Enough room for everyone. Nice furnishings, well stocked with paper towels, detergents, toilet paper, lake toys, and towels. Only a few cons. The grill had trouble maintaining a high temp, the queen beds were a bit soft in the middle, kind of a taco effect, and it would be nice to have a larger frying pan or Dutch oven. Those were minor things, overall we thoroughly enjoyed it. There were plenty of throw blankets for the evening, lots of games and books; and the adults enjoyed relaxing on the screened in deck, while the kids made Smores in the fire pit. Would definitely return.

Perfect Lake House Getaway!

We met family here, ages 3-70 for a wonderful weekend at the lake. The house was very well taken care of, had lots of charm and amenities for everyone. We enjoyed the serene setting, canoed the lake, fished off the dock and the kids loved the games provided. It was also nice to have the amenities of the resort nearby. We all visited the pool, the kids had a blast swimming, splashing and floating in the lazy river. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to cook, spend time together and simply relax. This home had everything we needed for a fun filled family get away.
