Overall it was “ok”. Staff was friendly. It was clean. Great location. But they need some work. TV is very hard to navigate and the system is OLD. Fan in the room is so loud it would wake you every time it went on and off. And the “mandatory” valet gets expensive.

Checking in was bad, we got in early so front desk said they will call us when the room is ready, came back at 4 pm since we never got a call, another lady checking us in had no clue what was going on, for a Hilton property this is bad. Finally got us checked in and found out all the extra fees we had to pay. Mandatory valet parking in awful. Location is great but will not be coming back to stay at this hotel, way better options nearby.

During our stay, we noticed a few areas where the experience could be improved. Only valet parking was available, which was a bit pricey, and the resort fees weren’t clearly communicated—we also didn’t receive a receipt afterward. Checking in was a bit tricky, as it took three attempts to get our room keys working, and since our room was farther from the front desk, it was hard to reach someone when the key didn’t work. We also felt that the front desk staff near the entrance, while very enthusiastic, were a bit persistent in promoting kayaking and other activity packages, including follow-up calls after we had declined. Overall, we appreciated the staff’s efforts, but a few small adjustments could make the guest experience smoother and more relaxed.

The property was excellent however the only reason I am giving it a 4 star instead of a 5 is because we got “tricked” into a timeshare presentation. As we checked in we scheduled a cruise tour for the next day. The concierge rep said she can help us out and give us a discount etc. We thought oh great; scheduled the time etc. and then at the end the rep asks “what time do you want to schedule your presentation?” She said it will just be 1.5 hrs and NO PRESSURE ….we are like ok. Come the next day it was over 2 hrs, PRESSURED and the reps were upset because we didn’t buy. It took time away from our vacation and stressed us out. While the discount was great it was not worth it. We would have rather paid full price for the cruise. Now we know next time there is always a catch to something sounding too good to be true.

The hotel was great, the pool and hot tub were great, lots of space in the room and included a whole kitchen with dishes and all, plus so close to the lake, literally a 5 minute walk. There are also shops and restaurants nearby. Will stay again. The only thing I disliked was that it was valet only so it was a bit of a wait for our vehicle.

Charming Exterior, walking distance to the Lake.

Receptionist is outstanding, friendly, welcoming. Mandatory valet parking (extra charge) was disappointing & unexpected. Positives; Room was full of amenities, full kitchen, small outdoor patio with chairs, faux fireplace, dining table with chairs, stall shower, soaker tub, dual sinks in bathroom, coffee maker with ceramic mugs. Quiet location. Needs improvement; window shutters strings broken, sink in bathroom didn't drain, tile floor in bathroom very slippery, walls show wear, toilet seat not clean & loose.

Nice place, close to lake and shops. Liked pool tables and on site games. Comfy rooms. On the down side : Having to park my car across the street and pay a required, daily $27 "Valet fee" for parking was not made clear to me when I booked. Otherwise, the place was clean, staff was nice, helpful and the location was walking distance to shops, beach and casinos.

PROS: a gorgeous building with decent amenities...the indoor-outdoor pool, 2 hot tubs, BBQ grills and lawn games. All good. As was the on-site restaurant, the Moon Bear. CONS: The parking is HORIIBLE. Valet parking is a joke. There were 12+ cars all waiting in line. Took at least an hour. And they don't allow you to stop and drop off your things? Crazy. TIP go inside and ask to self-park. Same price, but way faster. The garage is 2 block away. Second, the rugs and furniture are quite old and need to be updated. Rooms with a single queen bed? too soft and too small.
