Once the horse stable of a 500-acre estate owned by Coca-Cola executive Samuel Candler Dobbs. The Barn at Lake Rabun has been transformed into one of the Blue Ridge Mountains' most extraordinary private retreats. Perched across from Lake Rabun on two manicured areas, this century-old structure pair its storied history with river-stone walls, reclaimed heart pine floors, original timbers with the comfort of a luxury boutique hotel.

Seven private bedrooms (six kings), 8 master baths plus an additional half bath, a commercial-grade kitchen, a 1,000 sq. ft. deck under glimmering lights, fire pit under the stars, and a rope swing overlooking the lake. Amazing!!!

This was one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed! The decor and cleanliness and attention to detail was amazing. I was able to celebrate my 40th birthday with a group of friends and it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the weekend. The fire pit was a huge highlight! Perfect Spot for Family Gathering

We chose The Barn for our extended family gathering and couldn't be happier! Everyone had a beautiful bedroom/bathroom; the commercial grade kitchen was more than equipped for preparing meals; the extended dining room table had a seat for all; the fire pit was perfect for roasting s'mores and star gazing. The location allowed for easy access to hikes and the charming town of Clayton. Scotty was always easy and prompt with communication. 10/10 recommend The Barn for anyone needing a comfortable, beautiful and spacious spot for a relaxing getaway in North GA!

Wedding and family reunion

We had a wonderful time and experience at this beautiful house. Everyone that visited us was blown away but the overall house. Beautiful durung the day, absolutely stunning at night. We hosted a large dinner and the kitchen and extra dishwasher and sinks were a life saver. The oven is awesome but could use a little service. Overall the house was perfect for our large group. The pre-teens loved bunkingin the secret room.

Amazing Property

The Barn at Lake Rabun is truly one of a kind! The home is beautifully furnished, very spacious and comfortable for a large group. Our 3 generation family, ages 1 month to 67 years, recently spent a long weekend together at The Barn. Plenty of room for games and puzzles and quiet spaces for naps. The kitchen is well furnished for large groups. We especially loved spending time around the huge fire pit and family meals in the dining room. Scotty was very quick to respond to all correspondence. We’re already talking about our next trip to The Barn.!

Lake weekend

The Barn is beautiful. The outdoor space, deck and fire pit were perfect! The kitchen is great. A number of burners were out on the gas range, and the Keurig coffee machine wasn’t working which wasn’t a big deal because there was a drip coffee machine available. The charcoal grill grate was in working condition but looked like it was hanging by a thread. Everything else was fantastic and the farm fresh eggs were an extra special treat!

Stunning house in the heart of Lake Rabun

As soon as you walk in, you will be blown away by how beautiful the barn is! It is complete and total perfection. I stayed here with some friends for my wedding...everyone was just blown away by how perfect and beautiful it is. Everyone felt as if they were staying at a 5 star hotel! I have never seen a more beautiful place. It is super close to Halls where you can easily rent a boat, downtown Clayton and adorable downtown lakemont! I truly truly hope we will be welcome again. Really one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed! On top of that, Scottie is wry flexible and responsive. Everything went off without a hitch. Thank you so much again.

Perfect place to gather with family and friends.

We celebrated my husband's birthday here with family. The place is beautifully decorated with plenty gathering space. It felt like a home away from home. The kids had a blast running around the yard, playing in the kids nook, and swinging on the swing. The deck and firepit was a great place to relax and just spend time with family. If you intend to cook, the ovens didn't get up to temperature as previous reviewers have noted. I brought two counter ovens to bake things in after reading previous posts. The burners are also a little finicky. The refrigerator is counter depth, so we ran out of space quickly. I say all this just so you can plan properly for your stay. I 100% would recommend The Barn to anyone planning a weekend getaway with friends and/or family. The hosts were extremely responsive and have done a wonderful job with their property.

Fantastic Find

My large family, 9 adults and 9 children ages 3 months - 11 years; just returned from our wonderful family weekend together at The Barn @ Lake Rabun. We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home and everyone agrees that this is our family favorite and we will return! The kitchen is very well stocked, plenty of utensils, pots/pans, plates etc. we ate every meal in and the large professional range made food prep very easy. The home was spotless! Beds very comfortable and plenty of room for family games and play areas for the little ones. I think our favorite activity was sitting around the large fire pit while the kids played in the yard. The firewood was provided and there is plenty of seating around the fire pit. We also spent lots of time on the large deck, we had great weather and were able to eat several meals outside. Scotty is very quick to respond to every email and really thought of every detail to make your stay perfect. You won’t be disappointed if you have the opportunity to stay here!

Thankful for The Barn!

Our extended family spent the week of Thanksgiving at the Barn. What a treat! This property is fantastic! The space works well for as everyone had their own bedroom / bathroom combination. The bed linens were cozy and the bed / pillows were super comfortable! The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could imagine, which made Thanksgiving prep a breeze! I loved the butler's pantry, which made organization easier. Being able to fit everyone around the dining room table was truly amazing! The littles loved playing with some of the toys the little 'kids' club and the yard! The big 'kids' enjoyed the corn hole boards, the lovely deck space and the large fire pit. Our family has unanimously agreed that this is the best house we have ever stayed in! Cozy luxury! Thank you Scotty for being easy to communicate with and such a wonderful host. The local fresh eggs when we arrived was a nice treat. When we shopped and ate out in Lakemont folks would ask where we were staying. Whenever we said 'The Barn' everyone commented on how wonderful you and Jason are. :) We can't wait to return.

Winter Family Vacation

The property was excellent and the location is perfect. Scotty responds very quickly to any and all responses. The house has everything that we needed . Only thing that would put it over the top is if it had a game room. We will definitely be returning. The beds were very comfortable. The media room was excellent and the fire pit is a plus. They already had logs cut for the fire place. If you ever visit Lake Rabun, this is the place you want to stay!!!! Renita

Absolutely breath taking

This is our second year staying in this cabin, and we think it is by far one of the best cabin we have ever stayed in. It has all the accommodations, location is beautiful. Everything in the home is decorated perfectly. Dealing with the owners have been extremely easy. Highly recommend this place and we will be back.
