Great views, friendly host, very nice room.

The views over Lamego are fantastic. It is only a short walk into the old town (albeit uphill on the way back). Having parking on site is ideal as Lamego can be very busy and difficult to park in the centre. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are very nice, great bed.

Casa situada numa das encostas da cidade com uma vista sobre a cidade espectacular. O quarto possuia mesa e cadeiras no exterior possibilitando momentos de descanso relaxantes. Piscina no local. Quarto espaçoso com camas muito confortáveis e lençóis bordados muito confortáveis. Wc espaçoso e comodo. Tudo funcionava bem.

Casa da Real Companhia

Casa da Real Companhia was not what we expected, in any kind of way. Considering the fact that we stayed at a lot of local b&bs in the neighboring area, this was by far the worst experience. Their pictures does not capture the reality of the hotel and it’s location to the nearby surroundings. It is at the foot of very large apartment-building complexes. The background and more than half the view is blocked by concrete monstrosity and is seriously unflattering. Our view from the room was directly overlooking an unkept grass field, covering a large area of the foreground, littered with trash, and further in the background was the city and the tower. But their pictures do not show that sadly. - Our private terrace had a lot of wasps. - The bathtub was missing the plug and other different pieces. - The water turned off indefinitely at different times. All in all the worst stay we had in all of Portugal, despite our three week holiday. We stayed one night, and left early next day. Can not recommend!
