Charming little Cabin nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains located along the old Virginia Creeper Train Route on the rural banks of Big Horse Creek, a rushing Trout stream. This cozy little cabin sleeps 4, with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a pull out sleeper sofa, a full kitchen with all the amenities. There is a living room where guests can relax, read a book or take a nap in the recliner. The cabin has a wrap around deck and a large table for outside dining. Guest(s) sit outside on the screened in porch and can relax, enjoy the fresh mountain air, and take in the waterfront views and sounds of rushing currents as they pass by. There is a grill for cooking out, a Hot Tub to soak away stress, and there is a Fire Pit for those who wish to build camp fire after dinner along the creek. For the kids the cabin has Satellite TV, a VCR with plenty of old classic movies. For fishing enthusiasts, Big Horse Creek is a NC State stocked Trout Stream. You can practically cast your fly rod from off the wrap around deck. Creekside Serenity is located within 20 minutes of the world famous historic Shatley Springs Family Style Restaurant, downtown West Jefferson, home of North Carolina's only Cheese Plant and many Antique Stores and Art Galleries. Also just a short drive further, visitors can take in the beautiful Churches of the Frescos, Blue Ridge Dinner Theater, Mount Jefferson State Park, Ashe County Court House Museum, Tweetsie Railroad, Mystery Hill, or shop the outlet stores in Boone, NC, drive the Blue Ridge Parkway, or canoe the New River Just to name a few things a traveler can find to do here during their stay.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay at this cabin. It was beautiful during the fall. The cabin was clean and the hot tub was perfect. We drove up to Damascus to go hiking and enjoyed the downtown there. We also spent explored West Jefferson. It’s a great spot to enjoy the outdoors and just relax. My favorite parts were reading my book by the water and listening to the water when I went to sleep and woke up from the bedroom window. It is a perfect couples getaway.

The only complaint we had was that our stay was too short. Everything was just as advertised and when they say remote you really need to take it to heart. Once you leave the cabin there is no cell service which means no GPS or Google map. Take it from me that an atlas would be a wise investment if you visit this part of NC.

Beautiful place, loved the river right beside the cabin. Very peaceful to sit in hot tub and listen to the river and just sit on the deck and listen to the river. Very secluded. Loved that there was t any hustle and bustle around. A little bit of a drive to get supplies or if you want to go out to eat but the scenery is beautiful. Beautiful drive to Grayson Highlands. Can't say enough about the property we will be coming back again.

This cabin is comfortable, outfitted with anything you might need, and well decorated. Sitting on the deck and listening to the creek is very relaxing. My husband had good luck fishing for trout in the creek - so convenient! The cabin is well located for hiking at Grayson Highlands State Park. We had a great stay and plan to return!

What a lovey cabin and location! So peaceful and beautiful on the creek. The owners do an awesome job of providing amenities. The outdoor areas - fire pit, gazebo, and porches are all wonderful. The cabin is decorated so well. A great place to unwind and relax. This trip we traveled to nearby Grayson Highlands State Park for a very pleasant day of hiking, picnicking, seeing the wild ponies and enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Blue Ridge Mountains.Love this cabin and its location!

Mountain Retreat

The cabin was very comfortable and clean. The appliances were exceptional. The hot tub was fabulous and located on the back porch overlooking the water. Listening to the stream was so relaxing, especially while napping in the bedroom. It will certainly be a new get-away place for us.

Great stay!

Love the brook which is directly off the wrapped porch. Hot tub a definite plus! Very cozy and a real cabin feel. Decorated well. Screened in porch is awesome! Mattress is a little hard and bed frame squeaks some so that may bring back memories. lol. A gazebo which is very nice. We hope to definitely visit again!
