It is home to the Science Museum and the Miller Building, which hosts cultural activities. Santa Catalina Park is also the nerve centre for Carnival events and the Theatre and Dance Festival held during the summer months.
Furthermore, less than 100 metres away is the Maritime Park at the Santa Catalina dock, an authentic viewpoint to enjoy the stay of large tourist cruise ships in the Port of Las Palmas; a solarium or waterfront that is suspended over the sea, divided into two levels with a grandstand and a ramp connecting them, in a space of 1,262 square metres.
