Hotels on the Lake in Latin Quarter

The hotel is opposite the entrance to the Sorbonne, so if you were visiting the University there is no better location. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was adequate, but there were places that were not easy to reach but were visible where dust and fluff had accumulated. The plumbing needed attention. The toilet flush did not work correctly - most of the time, the water did not stop running and only stopped when the flush was pressed again. The bath (with shower) was only separated from the bedroom by an open screen. The shower curtain did not always stop water entering the bedroom and wetting the bed! The bath/shower controls were not correctly fitted and getting the shower to work without the bath filling took a lot of fiddling. The bed was comfortable but the room was never really dark because of lights outside the window and a nightlight by the door that could not be turned off. We only used the breakfast buffet once - it was alright, but not especially good value for money. The “bar” was not very inviting; I never saw anyone using it; we looked at using the bar once but it was overheated and empty so we went to a cafe next door,

Staff was very accommodating and friendly.. property was exactly as advertised.

The courtyard-facing room I had on the fifth floor was clean and quiet. Staff friendly. Breakfast varied and delicious, including fresh fruit, juices, yogurts, eggs, cheeses and meats. The furniture in the room did show some wear.
