La Bellota Cabin - Secluded, Hot Tub, Sauna, Game Room, Massage Chair
La Bellota, a secluded log cabin by the woods, offers a true getaway. Our 6 acres provide entertainment and relaxation amenities, and Hocking Hills attractions are all only about 10 miles away or less. Unplug or stay completely connected via 90 mbps WiFi. We hope your stay at La Bellota provides relaxation, rejuvenation, and a whole bunch of memories to bring home with you.
La Bellota (pronounced bay-YO-tah) is Spanish for "acorn" and "grand beauty." We hope you enjoy all the beauty this place has to offer inside and out.
INSIDE: The cabin has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The first floor bedroom features a queen and a twin. The loft bedroom features a king and two twins and is a separate room with a door. The first-floor bathroom features a shower and corner Jacuzzi tub, and the half bath sits between the main loft area and the loft bedroom.
A vaulted main room provides a cozy space to relax with a wood-burning stone fireplace and a little reading nook. Two skylights bathe the room in natural light during the day and give you the chance to see the stars at night.
A fully equipped kitchen offers your typical dishes and silverware (including kid-friendly options), stainless steel pots and pans, knife set, double oven with toasting capabilities, crockpot, electric skillet, electric griddle, hand mixer, blender, rice cooker, mixing bowls, ice cream scoop, pizza cutter, pizza stones, corkscrew/bottle opener, can opener, and more. We leave cabinet space open for guests to store their own food/supplies.
A dedicated hot beverage bar includes a 12-cup drip coffee maker and an electric kettle to make an assortment of provided hot beverage options, including ground coffee, tea bags, hot cocoa, and hot cider. We provide a coffee grinder for guests wanting to bring their own beans to grind.
The main loft area features a sauna (available to guests 16 and older), a massage chair, and a sitting area.
The garage game room aims to entertain kids young and old with an air hockey table, junior ping pong table, digital pin ball machine, and an assortment of board/card games. (Toys for toddlers also are included in the first-floor bedroom closet.)
A first-floor laundry room provides a washer and dryer for guest use. (Laundry detergent MAY be available, but we recommend bringing your own just in case.)
OUTSIDE: A screened-in porch overlooks the front yard with a tree-lined creek at the property edge. Hang out in the hammock and two hammock swings, and eat or play games at the 6-person dining set.
A covered porch runs the length of the cabin with a new 8-person hot tub overlooking the woods and koi pond with a bridge. Take in the property's tranquility on the two rocking chairs.
A propane grill sits on a small concrete patio just off the covered porch.
A stone-lined fire pit provides the perfect place to roast marshmallows or just share time around a fire's mesmerizing flames. Relax on one of the three Adirondack chairs and four tree stump stools around the pit. (Firewood is not provided.)
Enjoy the wooded grounds with a short hike in the woods and/or to our property's creek.
Guest access: Plenty of parking is available on our gravel driveway.
A guest key code for the main entry door will be provided prior to each guest's stay. This code will be active from the guests' check-in time at 4 p.m. until check-out time at 10 a.m. when the key code will become unusable.
Other things to note: Cell service is very spotty at the cabin. We have excellent WiFi, so we recommend setting up your phone for WiFi calling if you would like to text/call out/receive calls during your stay. Given the rural setting, internet outages happen a little more frequently than in urban areas, and these outages are outside our control.
Smart Devices: To help our guests experience a more secure and enhanced experience, we have equipped our cabin with several smart devices. This includes but is not limited to: - a smart lock for quick check-in and an individualized code for key-less access during your stay, - a Ring doorbell* for check-in assistance if needed, - an automatic kitchen faucet for hands-free use, - WiFi mesh network for more reliable and extended WiFI coverage, - smart switches for more convenient access, - integrated smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and flood/freeze sensors to help prevent emergencies, - driveway and rear-entry security cameras*
*These exterior cameras provide motion-activated video/audio recordings. The hot tub is not included in their view range.

This cabin is amazing, everything was great. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the sauna especially visiting in November. The fire place is very cozy and the location is close to everything hocking hills has to offer.

Property was okay, and overall as described. We enjoyed the fire pit and the seclusion of the property. The game room was fun during the chilly fall mornings! Linda was great to work with on the booking side and communicated promptly and effectively. We felt the property could use some TLC/cleaning help…The blankets and pillows on the couches smelled like dog / slobber / pee. We tried to wash the blankets but it didn’t quite solve the problem. And the leather on the couch is disintegrating and flaking - it was all over our clothes/hair. Every dish we pulled from the cupboard was dirty, and though the description said dishwasher pods were provided, there were only 2 and it’s not enough with 6 of us there. The floors could use a good mopping and felt sticky. We didn’t have enough wash cloths for our 6 guests. The coffee flavoring was out. Outside could use some TLC on the grounds too. It’s out of the host’s control, but the homes at the entrance of the driveway aren’t well kept and gives you a bit of pause driving up the driveway. We had a good stay, but not sure we’d stay here again without some improvements.

Our stay was very relaxing. Although the first night, I kept hearing a scratching which sounded like it was in upstairs bedroom. My husband assured me it was nothing. Maybe the overhead fan making the noise. I trusted him and fell asleep. Very relaxing to be around a fire pit. Roasting hot dogs and making s’mores and having a glass of wine. Since there is so much acreage, it would have been nice to have a trail to walk with our dogs. Very close to Ash cave and Old Man’s Cave.

Family Trip
We had such a great time here. The home had everything that was listed, my family had an amazing time with all the games, sauna, hot tub and exploring the property. The house was clean, only suggestion I have (I am a maid) would be to not use swiffer wet jet all the time, those beautiful floors could use a proper cleaning. The location is perfect close to everything. One more suggestion, whomever takes care of the hot tub should not use chlorine tablets meant for a pool it was way to strong and gave headaches, you could smell it with the lid closed across the porch. The coffee/tea bar was such a sweet touch.

Total disappointment
Well to begin, you drive up Rental Cabin Alley which is lined with dilapidated homes and junk cars. You get to the top where the rental is located and you think you are at the wrong house because it doesn’t look like the pictures. The weeds are all grown up around the house, what seemed to be at one time flower beds and the fire pit. We enter the house and are completely over taken by the smell of pet urine. The first thing I did was remove the area carpet in the living room. The thermostat was set at 75 degrees which probably did not help. The couch in the living room was completely unacceptable for the cost of this rental. It was a leather type couch that had horrible scratch/worn marks and the back cushions did not match the seat cushions. My son in law took cold showers for two days since the hot water did not come on in the upstairs bathroom. Before I could give my two year old granddaughter a bath, I had to buy cleaner and remove all the mold in the jets of the jacuzzi tub. The patios off of the kitchen and living room looked as if they had not gotten a good cleaning in awhile. It reminded me of what it looks like in the spring when you need to give it a good cleaning to remove the winter dirt. We went around to look at the koi pond. The lights that were on the bridge were half attached and half on the ground. I wouldn’t really call it a pond but a water reservoir surrounded by high weeds. Front porch swing was broke. Only stayed 2/7 days.

Hocking Hills Retreat!
We had a fantastic time getting away from it ALL. Didn't put on our watches, closed down our phones, and just relaxed. Hot tub, sauna, massage chair, and those AMAZING hammock chairs. I spent at least 1/2 our time here just relaxing in them. And when we wanted to get out some energy - AIR HOCKEY!! It's also close enough to great hiking that we did that for 2 days, but far enough from everything that we were completely at peace. LOVED IT.

Overall the stay was okay. We had no hot water in the upstairs shower so showering became limited. I reach out to the property manager and it still never got resolved. The cleanliness of the cabin wasn’t the best either. It smelt of what seemed to be dog pee and there was excess dog hairs on the furniture and in the floor. Positive things was nice hot tub and games to enjoy with the family. I probably won’t book that cabin in the future.

Perfect Paradise
We stayed for 5 nights this past week. It was my wife, nine year old, eight year old, and five year old. The property had something to occupy them the entire time. The hot tub and massage chairs were their favorite. Everything was clean and in working order. We have the whole world left to see but if we ever find ourselves back in Ohio, this is where we would stay. The property sat in the middle of all the local hiking trails. I would definitely recommend eating dinner at Hungry Buffalo restaurant.

Honking Hills spring break trip
We stayed 3 nights at La Bellota and our family had a great time! When we weren’t hiking at Hocking Hills, the cabin kept our family very cozy and entertained! We loved the game room, hot tub, sauna, massage chair, porch hammock swings, and exploring the property which included a very cute koi fish pond. The home is very well maintained and included everything we needed to make our own meals. Check in was very easy and communication was great!

Perfect cabin for our family!
We really enjoyed our stay here! Our two year old and nine year old always had something to do. I love that the game room is located right off the kitchen so I could easily keep an eye on them even while warming up food(we froze food the few days before leaving to easily reheat, making it possible to spend as much time as a family). We took a hike on the property before sunset which was great. The hot tub was amazing. There was no shortage of towels which I loved, even though they have a washer and dryer with laundry detergent. I just felt they thought of everything. All the cabinets were labeled to make finding things easy. Instructions to use the sauna, hot tub, anything you can think of, they thought of! We used the fire pit to make smores. They already had the marshmallows and things to roast the marshmallows on. There were toys in the bedroom closet my two year old enjoyed. We did go to old man’s cave but a lot of ice there still so it was a short trip. We were fine with that knowing there was plenty to do at the house. We brought popcorn and watched movies each night. The hosts were very sweet and responsive. Oh yeah the massage chair was a nice addition. I just recommend bringing a baby gate for young ones the stairs are a bit scary even though they even took precautions on those. All the beds were also comfortable and my fiancé is super picky about beds, he slept great. Also, the swings and little koi pond! Nice addition. We definitely would like to return sometime!

Everything worked !!! They had a bidet in the downstairs bathroom !! 2 showers the jacuzzi tub worked. It was very private and secluded. They had pretty much everything you needed to cook with and a drink out of they had a sort of tease which is really nice and coffee creamer. The gamer was really cool. The hot tub is very secluded also. Lots of privacy. The fireplace was amazing. I felt so comfortable here when usually when staying overnight at places, I get a little uneasy.
