The staff here was super helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is great- surrounded by mountains even if we didn’t technically have a mountain facing room. The building itself is beautiful. Walking around the first floor, you see lots of lovely common spaces. It feels very grand and fancy. I would definitely stay here again if I’m in Wengen again.

Formerly a grand old hotel, but our room was 50 years overdue for a renovation. It ended up costing a fortune for the view, but the weather did not cooperate. So it ended up being a dump with a view, without the view. Our worst value stay ever by a long shot.

This classic hotel was in a perfect location for my stay in the Jungfrau area. I'm travelling by train and it is just a few steps from the station. I enjoyed the feeling of staying in one of the grand hotels from an earlier era of travel. I had a valley view room on the third floor and looking out from my balcony was a great way to start the day. Breakfast selection was very good and I also enjoyed three dinners in the restaurant. Staff were friendly and attentive. I would definitely stay here again.

Old world charm in a beautiful setting. From the moment we walked in the staff were friendly and helpful.The morning breakfast buffet had a variety of foods and were appetizing. A real treat was the pianist at night setting the tone of a world gone by. Would love to stay here again it is also a one minute walk from the train station. Give them a call and they will take your bags from the station to the uphill climb to the hotel..

Bringing accommodations to a new height!

View from upper level room was breathtakingly beautiful! Room was clean, a little dated. But no complaints. The Hotel didn’t tell or warn us about the access via train only. Almost missed the last train from Lauterbrunnen…would have appreciated a heads-up!

Close to train station and incredible views

The balconies made the experience great. Being close to the train station helps. It is a steep walk but they can send a porter for your luggage if you request it in advance. The breakfast was just ok. Our tv did not work but the view of the valley was amazing since it was not obstructed by other hotels.

Wow. Brilliant stay.

I went back and forth between a couple different hotels in Wengen before settling on the Hotel Regina Wengen. And boy and I glad I settled on the Regina. This was the second leg of a larger trip to Switzerland where I was celebrating a rather large milestone birthday (begins with a '5'... eek!). When we checked in, we were greeted with the super friendly staff who let me know they upgraded us to a suite in the hotel. So our room for 5 nights in Wengen was the Suite Magdalena. A beautiful cluster of rooms with a separate living space, bedroom, large bathroom and a hidden dressing room. All of the rooms had an exit to a balcony where I'm pretty sure I took all my best pictures of the trip (great view of Monch and Jungfrau). I couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate a birthday. Breakfast was also included and absolutely immaculate. The buffet was huge, with many choices for many different diets. My wife and I are vegetarian and had no issues setting ourselves up for a day of hiking with the breakfast we were supplied. Location is perfect. I originally choose the location because it appeared to be close to the train station on a map. Indeed, it's VERY close to the train station (yet, very little noise from the train in the room). It was perfect as a base for getting on the train and checking out the region. It was also within a 5 minute walk to nearly all of the restaurants in Wengen. Memories of this hotel will stick for a LONG time.
