I stayed for 8 nights and couldn’t be happier. The staff are brilliant and so thoughtful, you feel like you’re home away from home. Everyone greets you by name and always happy to accomodate any need. Property is stunning and the food at the restaurant was amazing. I’m a big foodie so was very impressed. Bures are very comfy and have everything you need. Pool was gorgeous, even got a night swim in. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner and shared a few meals with her. Much love to you all for making my stay so memorable. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet & private getaway.

as a surprise for my husbands birthday I booked a room at The Fiji Orchard OR so I was led to believe, story cut short I had received a confirmation email from the property asking our time of arrival etc, but on arrival we were greeted by the security guard who was extremely confused when we told him we were booked for dinner and a bure, he replied we have been closed for 6 months. Not only had this property not informed Wotif and other booking agents they were still showing availability on their own site. Birthday ruined and not happy with what little communication and assistance from management in having our money returned. I understand Covid and the difficulties this has caused this industry but it is not difficult to inform potential guests of these changes through your own website

We are surprised this review is posted here. This page is for Post-stay reviews. This is not a review of our hotel, but is a review of your booking experience.
We are very sorry for this mix-up with your booking. But the fault lies entirely with Expedia/Wotif. They knew very well that we had been closed since March 2020, due to the pandemic, (just as had every hotel and resort in Fiji) and we had closed off availability to all OTAs and, despite what you say, there was no availability showing on our own website. But Wotif took your booking anyway and did not send us an email to inform us. The email you received was the standard booking confirmation sent out by Wotif written to look as if we had sent it. But what we don't understand is why you chose to book with an Australian website, and send money out of the country, when you live not more than 5 kms from us. Before booking, a quick local phone call would have established that we were indeed closed just like every other hotel in Fiji.

The property was possibly nice - many, many years ago - but has become very, very tired with lack of maintenance to plumbing, steps and pavers, woodwork, paint et al. Service was almost non-existent, with no-one attending to reception most of the day and no ability to call reception from the bures. Cleanliness was very poor, with dusting not having been done, mould on canvas "roof", large marks on the blankets, air-conditioning that was almost useless and bathroom taps that were not secured - hot water basin tap actually fell off in use, toilet was leaking over the floor etc. The toilet enclosure was too small to sit on the toilet!. The rooms were close to a very noisy, dirt road on which every vehicle, bus and truck thundered by over corrugations and potholes making sleep and even rest impossible. The place was eerily "empty" of life and they didn't provide an iron and ironing board in preference to charging to press every item. There was no mention of steps to the restaurant and since steps were no lit well or at all in some areas, for mobility-restricted people, there were evident risks in using the steps at night. We booked an airport transfer for 10am but at 10am the driver was elsewhere and they would have had us to the airport too late for our requirement. We were there just 2 days but this was 2 days too much. Suggest that the owner spend more time developing a culture of service and spending some money on the place instead of milking it.

5 star luxury boutique hotel !!! It’s AMAZING!!!
You will not be disappointed.
Free pickup and drop off by their friendly driver and free breakfast every morning it was the best trip ever!!
Plus it was like your own private resort because no one was there I swear we didint run into any other guests!!
The staff make your stay, they are the cherry on top! Such sweet amazing kind humans that go out of your way to make sure you have everything you want and need!!

Staff warmly welcoming and unobtrusive. Breakfast fruit platter and cooked omelettes delicious and the home made bread divine! Coffee nice and strong though went cold quickly. It was never too much hassle to organise transfers and tours and very helpful information offered up in line with this. We never took evening meals there so cannot comment on those, and as there were only two other couples when we stayed, the lounge area was eerily quiet. Great place to come if you want to avoid crowds,but if you don't have your own car you are pretty reliant on having to take taxis everywhere. Comfy beds, beautiful rooms, lovely showers. The Aircon was a little noisy/too powerful for my liking and it was a shame you could not sit out on your Bure verandah. These are just small comments to offer up on what was an unforgettable stay. A big Thankyou to Ledge(?), Lavinia and Ken and the other staff whose names we did not learn for making it a truly memorable experience for us.

Serenity in beautiful gardens
Pros:The gardens are lovely.
Location:Close to Laukota, Gardens of the sleeping Giant and mud pools, as well as the airport. Half an hour out of Denarau
This place is a delight. The accommodation is situated in amongst lovely gardens and you feel secluded in your own space. The rooms are top class as is the service from the staff. Breakfast in the lodge was like stepping back into old world class. The Fiji is located away from the main road and not near the beach, but for a different experience, we would highly recommend it.
There's a restaurant on site. You can enjoy a drink at the bar/lounge. Public spaces have free WiFi. A roundtrip airport shuttle is free (available 24 hours). An outdoor pool, a terrace, and tour/ticket assistance are also featured at this villa. The villa can provide concierge services and wedding services. Free self parking is available. This 4-star Lautoka villa is smoke free.
