The hotel itself is starting to show it's age. I get that, so am I. We've been staying there for many years. The front counter service is, terrible. A fellow patron and I got on one of two elevators and promptly got stuck inside. Luckily there were two of us and we able to force the door open to exit. I reported the incident, used the stairs to go back to the room as it was check out time. upon my return to the front desk to check out, I noticed a "out of order" sign on the counter. A different staff member is now present, so I said thanks for putting up the sign. She said in a very heavy Asian accent"It's fine now, it's working. What if someone else can't pry the stuck door open next time(and there will be a next time, it's machinery, it needs attention)?
Two king size rooms, two different prices, why? My wife and I got an "upgrade". We opened the door and there was a bathtub next to the bed! That's not an upgrade, that's yucky!!
I enjoy most Hampton stays, but this hotel has seen better days, both physically and staff wise. I honestly don't complain very often if ever, but this stay was way below par for a Hampton Hotel.
