Good property close to campus and the Haymarket district. Easy parking. Limited gym and pool facilities. Breakfast was sufficient, not outstanding by any measure. We'll be back.

Fast and Furious meets Hard Bed & Low Water Press

The hotel and staff were amazing. The bed and the water pressure was horrible and the street noise kept us up most of the night. We were on the second floor facing the Q Street and we could hear cars driving by well after midnight. I would ask for a higher floor or a room not facing Q street. The bed was extremely stiff and not forgiving. If you have any sort of spine or hip issues and can’t have a hard bed, I would look elsewhere. The water temperature was amazing put the pressure was excruciatingly low. The pressure wasn’t strong enough water pressure to get the toothpaste out of the sink. The staff was amazing and the cleanliness of the property was to be expected.

The first room we were assigned had a bed that was obviously slept in but remade - different than the other bed. The second room was clean. The sinks are large but the faucets are not and do not reach far enough in to the sink. Trying to wet a washcloth is tricky without rapping your knuckles on the granite. The glass case at check in was about 4 feet high with the top covered in dust. I was surprised. Otherwise the property is well maintained.

This was our second stay here after a few years. We really like this hotel; friendly employees, great room design, wonderful mattress! The only thing a bit lacking this time was the breakfast. Last time, there were scrambled eggs. The potatoes were extremely salty—it’s better to let guests season to their liking.
